I was having a BBQ on Sunday at the local wildlife centre (caged animals looking bored in need of their portrait photograph), and this greying chap came over with his grandson and asked about the Canon.
Looking bemused, I asked do you mean this pot-de-fer as I started explaining the history of the cannon. He grinned and pointed at the picnic rug.
'My grandson so wishes to get into photography when he is a little older but he didn't have the words to come and ask you about you camera'
I politely said 'by all means he can have a look', forgetting that my Canon K-3 was on the rug in all it's naked glory.
The young lad crawled over to the rug and started chewing on the lens cap as I was explaining to the grandfather about the cannon, not realising what was going on to the right of me.
Suddenly I heard a giggle and turned around, the young lad had managed to roll over and lift the camera onto his tummy and was there laying on his back looking into the lens - he must have seen his reflection because the gurgle noises were just out of this world.
The grandfather told me that the young lad was 7 months old and that he had a fascination with cameras and that he already had 5 full albums of photographs - selfies, close-ups and lots with family and friends, all in all a great day and the young lad certainly got his gums around the Canon K-3.

I purchased a Dymo Letra Tag and printed myself off 2 'Canon' labels.
Folks that have seen my new Canon K-3 are so impressed with it, they have gone to the camera store to order one, and the thing that impresses them the most is the fact that it can accept K mount lenses dating back to1975 without the need for a special kind of adapter.
