Thats the problem I am having it is like the focus collar is locked. It will not rotate to a higher magnification.

I bought this lens used last summer and used it at normal to far distances on my 645D. Today I wanted to try some macro shots and noticed it would not focus closer than about 3 feet. I have tried setting the limiter on and off and tried both auto and manual focus. Is there a trick to getting it to focus closer or does it need to be serviced.

The Pentax reps have been going to the dealers here and demoing the lens and assuring deliveries in the next few weeks so doubt if is cancelled. I think like all suppliers there were issues after the earthquake.

Got mine today from the same dealer and saved hundreds from what I would have paid here.

Thanks for the info. I have emailed a couple of dealers about availability as I have not seen it on any of the online store. I was able to pick up an FA 35 and 120 macro and have seen a lot of the other FA lenses as well.

Has anyone heard when this lens will be available. I have purchased the FA 35 and 120 macro and they are excellent but wondering when the new 25 will be in shops.

Lurking for awhile and just recently purchased a 645D so reading up on all the recomendations.
