#11 would be much stronger as a panorama. Just crop off the top half.

I like the fact you kept the "whiteness" of the area. Good use of high-key.

A few weeks ago we were chatting about factory demo cameras (on a thread that I lost track of). Cut-away models. At the time, I couldn't locate my Half of a Spotmatic F. Now I have it and have posted a few pictures on my Blog. At the time this was made, the cameras were assembled with epoxy (so the small bits wouldn't fall out) and then cut with a diamond saw.
You won't see many of these! Half of a Spotmatic F |

I have a Spotmatic (& a 135/3.5 ST) cut in half by the factory. They used a diamond saw in the "old days."

Pentax was never "the Pros' camera." Though lots of Pros used Pentax! Even back in the 60s and 70s when I worked for Honeywell, we (Pentax Spotmatic, Ks & ES-ESII) had the dominant market share--but not a dominate position in the Pro market. Pentax led the way with new innovations and even was the first camera to have integrated flash control (SP IIa) with the Honeywell Strobonar.
My point is Pentax has been an innovator, without the Pro market. And can still be.
However, there used to be a Japan quasi-government organization -- a consortium of the camera makers -- that agreed what market (and type of products) each brand would produce. Don't know if it was the JCII (Japan Camera Industry Institute) or some other entity-- the Asahi people would not talk much about it. But many of the product ideas Honeywell asked Asahi for were not in the agreed "category" for Pentax. It could be that the Full Frame issue falls into that kind of "agreement" (if that industry wide organization still exists).
Just speculating--been a long time since I knew the Asahi people.

There is an advantage to Canon--the flange distance is short. So many adapters can be made for other brand lenses.
I was a Pentax user for decades. Used the film KX & MX for many of those years.
Now, I use Canon 5D Mk II and some of my lenses (w/adapters) are 17mm SMCT Fish-eye, SMCT 85mm f/1.8 and SMCT 135mm f/2.5. Still great lenses.

I started with Pentax H-2 in the 1960's. Later worked for Honeywell and was Pentax Product Manager for several years in the 1970's. Kept shooting with a KX & MX after Honeywell and Pentax went their separate ways. Just retired from real estate a few years ago, to start a photo studio. Would love to have stayed with Pentax, but Canon had just started shipping the 5D FF. Now I have several "L" lenses (big $$$ investment). But I have several SMCT lenses that I use on the 5D & 5D2. Specifically, 85/1.8; 135/2.5 and the 17/4.0. Not sure if I could afford to switch back now, but would certainly consider doing so, especially if Pentax cameras were smaller and lighter than the Canons!

My first Pentax was the H2. I needed a good camera to shoot for the Notre Dame yearbook.

Hi,
I worked for Honeywell Photo in the 1970's. Was the Pentax product manager part of the time. Also, Nikor film developing equipment and the Repronar slide copier.
Remember that had a specialized Pentax camera with a straight in viewfinder--like a TLR and a built in bellows and macro lens. Lots of fun.
