I have several very sweet lenses for sale. Sadly I need to pay some bills.

First up is the Holy Grail, the FA*85mm f1.4. It is the original production. I got it direct from Pentax back in 2000. Condition? There is one small scuff on the hood and it is hard to find, even harder to photograph. You have to look to find it. It is in excellent condition. It is packed up in its original box with the included lens case. $1200.

Next up is the FA50mm f1.4. I got this brand new around 2002 or so. It is also in excellent condition and packed up in its original box with a basic filter on it. $250.

On to the Tamron 28-75 f2.8. This was my most used lens and is the only lens on this list that does show real signs of use. The rubber zoom ring is well worn and no longer shiny black. The lens does have a little bit of dust internally, but not much. The photos from this lens are amazing. It has never BF or FF on any of the cameras I have used it on and it is super sharp. There is a reason it got so much use. Optically it is worth more, but because of the worn appearance I am only asking $250.

I got this Tamron 90mm f2.8 macro because I had a hankering to do some macro stuff. I took enough shots to give it a good test and then hardly touched it. I think I've had it for about 2 years and have used it maybe 5 times. It comes with a nice bag and a lens hood. It still looks new. $350.

Shipping will be UPS to the lower 48 and charges will be actual, including insurance. I will ship ground or expedited depending on buyers wishes. I take paypal and I don't charge the buyer for the fees.

Item for Sale
Gossen Luna Pro Digital F Light Meter

Asking Price
$100

Item Location
Idaho, USA

Item Description
The Luna Pro Digital F is a fantastic meter. It measures flash, ambient and cine and is very accurate. The readout is all digital, but it has an analog scale that shows the relationship between ambient and flash exposures, which is really cool. In reflected light mode it also measures the contrast range of a scene. I have all the stuff that was in the box; meter, case, strap, manual, quick reference pocket guide and battery. If you want to read the manual before buying I found one online here.

Learning how to use a Graphic Tablet...?

A tablet is a far more precise instrument than a mouse so, yes, you are going to have to practice and become more precise yourself. I am on a notebook and use the trackpad for most general computing, but when it comes to photo editing I have to have my tablet. Once you get used to it you'll wonder how you ever lived without it. It will take some practice, though.

I got bored and did not read every post in this thread. I do believe that some people are confusing contrast and sharpness. I have owned the *istD, K10, K20, K-7 and K-5 and the K-5 definitely records much better fine detail and sharpness than the others. However, it also has a broader dynamic range and therefore less contrast. If you want to have the same picture look the same from the K-5 and any other Pentax you are going to have to increase the contrast on the K-5 image in addition to adding the same amount of sharpness.

Yes, you will have to shoot in manual. Yes, you will need to trigger the other monolights with slaves or get a splitter for your sync cord. As long as you are not shooting around other flashing lights the optical slave trick works just fine.

I got one last week that didn't have stain but did have a really bad stuck pixel that was killing videos. I returned it and got a new one and the new one seems fine. The serial number on the new one is in the 402xxxx range and was manufactured in March of this year.

Item for Sale
Lowepro Topload Zoom AW

Asking Price
$45

Item Location
Idaho, USA

Item Description
I recently sold my 70-200 f2.8 so I don't need this bag any more. It easily holds a DSLR with grip and long, fast zoom. It has 2 front pockets for batteries, cards, etc, plus a pocket in the lid. It has a removable divider inside if you want to have a shorter lens with second short lens in the bottom. There is a weather proof pull-over jacket stored inside the top front pocket (not the most Pentax users are afread of a little weather). It has a comfortable shoulder strap that is removable and a padded belt loop to wear it like a holster. It also has accessory straps on the sides and plastic d-rings to attach it to a chest harness. It is a fantastic bag, but I have all short lenses right now and am not using it.

I'll ship it anywhere in the continental US for $45, shipping and paypal fees inclusive.

I just got my K5 this week and haven't used my FA50 1.4 on it yet, but I've had the 50mm for a long time and have used it on K-7s, K20s, K10s an *istD and an MZ-S. Yes, it works perfectly.

It all depends on what you shoot. I am in studio with strobes most of the time and at ISO100 I sometimes have to turn the strobes down all the way to get the apertures I want. Back when I was doing weddings I was all about 400-800. For sports 3200 is a gem. What I love about this camera is that it shines no matter what ISO you need.

Item for Sale
Tamron 70-200 f2.8

Asking Price
$550

Item Location
Idaho, USA

Item Description
Tamron SP AF70-200mm F/2.8 Di LD(IF) Macro. This lens is in perfect condition in it's original box with the original carry case. It is one year old and has a 6 year warranty (US only) so there's plenty of coverage left on it. I'll include a copy of the receipt so you can use the warranty.

The picture quality of this lens is amazing. Even wide open I get great shots, which is cool because it has great bokeh. The problem is that I hardly use it because I just don't do the kind of photography that this lens excels at. The good news is that the lens is barely used.

Here is a link to a flickr set with photos of the lens...

Item for Sale
K-7 Body

Asking Price
$600

Item Location
Idaho, USA

Item Description
The camera is one year old and did not have an extended warranty. It is in great condition, used mostly as a backup and I do mostly studio work so it didn't get heavily used. It developed a spec of dust between the sensor and aa filter so Pentax replaced the entire sensor. The body is in the original box with all original accessories. There are a couple minor scuffs on the rear LCD, which are the only real signs the camera has been used at all. The Pentax strap and most of the cords haven't even been taken out of the packaging.

Here is a link to MyShutterCount.com with the shutter count of the last photo I took with this camera. Check shutter count online - My Shutter Count.com

Just wanted to say thanks to all who has chimed in with answers and comments. I have been using Pentax for 14 years and really like their equipment, especially the lenses, but in their effort to be a niche product they are omitting some key features for my needs. I have no need or budget to upgrade cameras at all right now, but when the time comes I will have no choice but to look at other brands for a product that fits my needs.
