Sony glasses are very expensive, so I would not recommend it if you do not have a large budget or require autofocus with your existing lenses.

Kp maybe the most sensible if you buy new, but I have seen used K1 for $1000 if you can stretch your budget a bit and don’t mind the weight.

I hope for a compact FF body. Some primes or compact zooms updated with silent fast focusing motors would be great too.

I agree, seems like DPR has some agenda against value oriented brand such as Pentax. I decided to discount their words after the K1-ii review debacle.

Anything from K100d and onward with SR should be good to have some fun with. Newer bodies have built in focus adjustment function for when using autofocus lenses.

If you want to delver deeper into post-processsing to obtain more image quality, I would recommend Lightroom 6 (standalone) for its ease of use. If you shoot RAW, post-processing can literally breathe new life into old captures you have.

You better not switch to Canon, Sony, Fuji, Olympus or Nikon. Their product releases are all more frequent than that of Pentax.

Full-Frame is where there is profit to be made in camera bodies and lenses. I think it's reasonable Ricoh continue to pursue this higher margin business since their market share is so small anyway.

I would agree great values can be found in the used market for all brands. I got myself an A7R in “fair” condition for “cheap” because I could not justify paying more than $800 for a camera body, but I really want the resolution the 36 mp sensor provides.
Now I have a FF body for my Pentax lenses, using manual focus only for landscapes and portraiture. It has no IBIS, PS, astrotracer, GPS, but it’ll do for now.

It's fulfilled by Amazon, so that seems more legitimate than some unknown vendor selling on their own.

The 18-135 is sharper wide-open than the 18-55 II in my experience.
