Do any of you use a handheld meter in conjunction with your dslr?

No, but I sometimes use my K-5 as a "handheld meter" with my ME Super (because the ME Super does not have spot metering) :D

An optical family

So, after recently adding the lovely F 70-210 f/4-5.6 to my set of lenses, I felt like taking a break from the vise-grip of LBA and thought I'd share some views through my family of lenses.

This is perhaps a little quixotic, but I tend to name each piece of equipment I have. An expression of personal attachment, perhaps? But anyway, here's my optical family!

DA 21mm Limited. Named "Ether", for its light weight and clear pictures.

K 28 f/3.5. Named "Octarine", since blue-purple, green foliage, and golden yellows are among the colors this exquisite lens tends to enhance. A simply excellent lens.

A 50 f/1.7. Named "Ali Baba", as it's the cheapest of my lenses. Cheap only in the monetary sense though-- optically, it's a treat!

A 35-105 f/3.5. Named "Panzer", since it looks a bit cannon-like... with a seemingly armored build quality to boot!

F 70-210 f/4-5.6 (the version with SMC). Named "Sleeper Service". Newest acquisition.

Hope you folks enjoyed that. Happy photographing, and don't let LBA hit you (or rather, your pocketbook) too hard!
