I hope you have better luck than I'm having. I ordered my K-r from Amazon on Aug 19th
and it still hasn't arrived. :(
It figures...this is the most I've been looking forward to a package and it's the first
time it hasn't shown up as scheduled.
(I got the single lens package for $583. Sounds like you got a good deal.)

Hello all,
I just pulled the trigger on a K-r and am anxiously looking forward to it's arrival.
Main reasons for purchase: liked the feel/size, contrariness, and I inherited an ME and a couple of lenses so it seems like fun to try to use them.
This forum was also helpful in the decision.
I'm pretty much a rookie at this, but I've bought "Understanding Exposure" and am looking forward to learning a lot. I've had a couple SLRs in the past (Canon EF, Nikon N65) but never really got the hang of it. Time to change that. :)
