Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I forgot to mention that I also own a Tamron 90mm/2.8 which is an incredibly sharp lens. It covers that slightly longer focal length as well as any macro work I need to do.

Hi All,
I'm a long time lurker in the forums and have been using my beloved K200D for nearly 3 years now. I have a good collection of super takumars with a genuine pentax K --> screw converter. But my most commonly used lens has been my Sigma 30/1.4 until a recent trip to Russia where I broke it. So now, I'm looking to find an alternative. I'm currently thinking about FA30/2 or DA40/2.8 or the FA43/1.9 limited.
One thing that always annoyed me about the sigma was the extra weight of the lens along with the barrel distortion although I'll miss having F1.4. Would love some suggestions from fellow forum members.
Thanks.
