Looking for recommendations for a good small travel kit for a K1 MKII and K3 MKIII. Space is limited so a good walk around lens and landscape. I’ll be camping and doing the national parks etc.

Just received my lens and the foot has been broken off during shipping. It’s obviously going back. My question is how often does this happen? It’s gonna be about a month turn around to get my refund.

I normally only use the green button for a quick reference for my settings. Last weekend I took my camera for a graduation and they wanted some pictures outside before the ceremony. Even when my settings were similar the images were considerably darker shutter speed was about the only difference. I try to use the lowest ISO possible not wanting to go above 1600 if possible..I have attached two images on with my setting and one with green mode. I was in the picture so I set it up and had someone just push the button. I realize the F stop on these 2 are different, but I have pics with ISO 100 F2.2 and turned out fantastic...

Yeah the tamron isn’t the greatest past 200 which is the one I used the most and probably will have to use tonight due to the reach. But maybe I can get close enough who knows it’s a large amphitheater…

Instead of starting a new thread I’ll post some pics here of last nights concert. I used the 70-210 and tamron 28-300. I tried to keep iso at 1600-3200 I was able to get a few shots at 800 and F5.6 was the lowest usable. The venues are different but I’m betting lighting will be similar I did get some keepers but I also lost a lot due to blur, I think I’ve included a good sample showing the differences…

Knowing what I know now I have no issue using it with the lock and pro pad, I just hate they recommend the button to face down on the belt. Had it been facing up this wouldn’t have happened.

The contest will run from May 18 through May 24 2021. (NZST) Votes will be counted thereafter.

NB: VOTE ("like") FOR SOMEONE WHETHER OR NOT YOU ARE AN ENTRANT....!!

Submissions can be in any written form (no video or audio files) — caption, limerick, motivational, poem or prose — whatever inspires you to describe the photo or catch attention. Submit by replying to the thread. Contestants may submit more than one entry but it must be in a separate post. Important: Even if you do not submit an entry, please “like” any posts you feel deserve it as this is how the winner is chosen. And if you DO submit an entry, please also find an entry that you like from among your competitors' efforts and "like" that one as well.

The "thread starter" is the moderator and must post an original photo at the start of the thread. In case of a tie the moderator will choose one to break the tie. After determination of the contest's winner, that winner will be notified ASAP after by the current Thread Starter/Contest Host and will become responsible for posting the next original work to be captioned. Enter often, vote more often. and most important: Have fun !

(If this image is too big for your screen, go into your account settings and change the display size).

I wouldn’t write or off completely had I used the lock this wouldn’t have happened but as we tend to do because I was taking it out frequently I didn’t use the lock for the few steps I was moving from spot to spot. I would’ve engaged the lock had I been moving a great distance or over even ground etc.

Unfortunately due to shoulder surgery I wasn’t able to bring my bag which is where it normally would be clipped.

My K1MKii was on my neck, and as I said above I normally will not be wearing in on my belt…
