Quite well I actually ran it for a few hours on a 1 1/4lb SMC Pentax-M 80-200mm F4.5 to test and it held up well

I finished my E-Mount 75mm 1:1 Astro Berlin Tachonar C. Has focusing helicoid from Macro to infinity. No aperture however.

As long as they aren't pointing the flash directly at the subject they are on the right path in my books. Distance is the best diffuser and it's free.

I have not used this lens very much, even thought I have had it for almost 10 years shortly after I bought my Pentax K-x. the problem was I when I needed this focal length. I had Pentax-f 100mm2.8 Macro or Bokina 2.5/90m or Rokinon 1.4/85mm or Tamron adaptall-2 2.5/90mm and so on..all much easier to use. I used only a Jupiter-9 2/85mm lens on my Sony A7ii for 3 weeks straight and reviewed it, Here's my Take away.

It is a great lens worth about $20-30 but if it were a Pentax mount it would have been worth more. You are better selling it off and try to find a Pentax Version because there are so many around.

I wearily bid on a Thrift store auction based on terrible pictures with lenses with caps obscuring identities and cases obscuring camera models and conditions. It was worrisome so watch the video to see my outcome.

I Have over 3000 images on Flickr..got to start weeding with extreme prejudice. I was trying to figure out a way to download all my photos from my Flickr account in the case I can't make the cutoff date.
Here is a video I made of how to do it. I am sure there are other ways to do it but this worked pretty quick for me and no need for 3rd party apps. I may go pro at some point but not right now.

I turned a vintage camera case(the type you cannot fit aany digital into) into a Sony A6000 case. I plan on adding some other accoutrements Like Portable power ect.

Reasons why Im not crazy
-Sony A7 is the least expensive FF on the market
-the brilliant digital viewfinder paired with magnified focus takes away any overlap that the focus peaking may present on fast lenses
-99% of pentax lenses k and m42, new and used are ff and are built for a ff camera
-When ever I feel nostalgic or have a DA lens I can put my a7 in aps-c mode.
-I can put more than just pentax lenses on it
-When I put my Lenses on my ff pentax camera I have to make sure I load film into it.

I love both lenses. The difference in both lenses is lessened if i were to put hoods on both and LR them individually. Also I could have de-yellowed them both but I don't do that anymore because I enjoy the unique lens patinas now.

Hey I feel your pain I have had two out of three Pentax Dslrs and that had focussing screens that were terrible with my 1.2/50m Pentax-A due to, a)Focus screens made for looking through and not actually using to focus and b)Wildly out of calibration for MF.. I used a Canon 5d EEs screen for one and a Maxxum 7000 35mm film camera screen for the other, Both ground down.
Check out The video I made on how to do it..I used a K5 for the video but it is the same process with the K3 even same size screen so you can use the template I made.

I made this little project out of my love of photography and fishing. My daughter loved this project aswell especially seeing the results. I wanted to use my Sony AS50 so I could see the results live on my phone but I forgot to pack it for camping.

Wow ..crazy. I generally try not to read far down phototech gossip rags like DPreview and this especially when fueled by awful lot of BS and Drama from the Angry Fauxtographer.
