Hey,
The da 10-17mm is a great lens for what its worth. It easily doubles as a fish and wide zoom. Here's one at the wide 10mm. Attachment 181252 |

hey this is my entry :) Attachment 129992
I am fairly new to Photography in general and i chose Pentax to be my entry into this fun exciting Hobby. My father always told me traveling overseas is not worth the hassle because you would forget about all the exciting spectacular and sometimes interesting sights you would encounter. However i believe he may just have a case of jealousy towards those that travel :P. This is what drew me into the concept of photography. The ability given by camera's allow us to capture the moment depicting every emotion and fine detail whether it be trekking around the world or just going for a walk down the beach. I now have pictures from my travels that show true to life spectacular sights which i am able to display and remember. I never forget the amazing things i have seen.
Also i have since noticed my father has also invested in a pentax system ;)!
My Image entered however was taken on the way to closing that treacherous gate on our property that always seems to swing open during strong wind. The image details the raw lightning flashes of a storm that had passed over prior to my little adventure. I believe it gives the essence of calm 'after' the Storm, while showing mother natures true brutality. I interpreted that this image displays a sense of natures fragility that can be seen even win the wake of witnessing mother natures true brutality(the gate was blown off its hinges)...
This was taken with my Da 50-135 as I wanted to get rained on and push the weather sealed body and lens combo to its limits :D. I have since invested in a da 70 ltd and am blown away at the build quality and imagery produced by this rather miniscule lens! A Da 21 ltd i believe would make an excellent addition to my pentax collection and would help me show my father he was wrong.. Taking as many pictures as possible when traveling secures those memories for a lifetime!
Thanks
By the way what an exciting way to hold a contest!
