I had the same thing, using a Sigma 24-60mm lens and a Metz 50. As mentioned earlier in the thread, it seems if you switch on the flash before the camera, it doesn't recognise the lens. Some software glitch I guess.

I didn't put any more details as to how the images was taken and processed, as asked in the guidelines, so here's a bit more info on the image. It was taken from the flight-deck of an aircraft enroute to China. The image was processed in CS6 with a large levels adjustment applied using a gradient (less adjustment to the foreground) and then the image was tweaked with Topaz Adjust. Finally in Lightroom I added a grad filter for contrast and saturation towards the horizon and a slight adjustment in exposure .

It's a good idea to switch SR off if you are using a lens with in-built stabilisation (unless you switch it off in the lens).

Hi all,
I live in Doha and have a K5, an Infrared converted *ist DL, and various lenses. I had a K7 previously, and, way back when, a Spotmatic. I look forward to meeting you all online, there's a few here I recognise from another Pentax forum I am a member of.
