Hello All! I haven't posted here in a while but I have been reading and trying to keep up. Great pics everyone! I FINALLY got some clear skies after rain season here in Japan. I'll be back in the States this September but I'm being stationed in Pittsburgh, the 3rd cloudiest city in USA...ARGH! Enjoy!

The clouds won't always ruin my astro-pics. Sometimes they make it easier for creative pics like this:
Tamron 17-50@17, f/2.8, 1600 ISO, fixed tripod 20sec exposure.
Also this was with my K-5 at prime-focus. Jupiter and the Galilean Moons Europa, Io, Callisto and Ganymede. |

I think you're thinking of the O-GPS1, right?... the "Astro-Tracer" function of the GPS unit for Pentax? What Gimbal showed above with the link is what I have (and LOVE). I just got tired of visual astronomy and decided not to buy a whole scope and mount and stuff. |

I posted these in an astrophotography thread on here but I wanted to share them with all my friends here in the K-5 forum too. These are my first ever 'stacked' astrophotos. Hope you enjoy. I know some of them are a little distorted. I'm still in the learning process.
Andromeda Galaxy/Pleiades/Horsehead Nebula: all Pentax K-5, Sigma 70-200APO@200mm f2.8, ISO 1600, 25 one minute exposures stacked with DeepSkyStacker, tracked with AstroTrac. The Pleiades was 33 one minute exposures. SEMPER FI!
