Well, maybe I didn't made some thing right. I do not have such a file name ! Is someone here, running on Windows 7 hwo can tell me where (the path) Pantax utility has been instaled.
I do not have like : C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Pentax\Digital Camera Utility 4
My went in C: programs files (x86).........

I got this email from SilkyPix :
"Dear Sir :
"PENTAX Digital Camera Utility 4" is the software of
PENTAX which PENTAX is developing. We are offering only an image-development engine
of SILKYPIX to Pentax Corporation. We are sorry but we do not understand details of the program."
So now, no one is assuming the responsability. Support from Pentax is miserable, the guy from Pentax, simple refuzed to help.

I have downloaded the latest PENTAX DIGITAL CAMERA UTILITY 4.33. My question is : can I just double click on this and not have installed before in my computer the 4.0 (I have the original cd with 4.0 on it) ? I saw a lot of comments like some were able to install the latest software release without the original disk, cheating with a fake CD named properlly. I believe my CD (original) may have a problem so I was thinking to install 4.33 with 4.0 CD on drive, but not installed on my computer.
...hmmm, I was long and maybe not too clear !!!

Well, in Windows 7, there is no such a folder : C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Pentax\Digital Camera Utility 4 , I mean, there is no C:\Documents and Settings....I did a search, no any Pentax name on my computer

I was not able to fix the problem.
I reinstalled the software, updated and at second or third foto selection, software crash.
I can not believe this, Pentax refused to send me another CD and SilkyPix doesn't respond too

Well, I just installed the Pentax Digital Camera Utility 4.0 and it keep crashing on me. Computer is brand new, with 8GB RAM and Win 7. As soon as I select a picture to preview it the software crash. I reinstalled, I was able to preview one jpeg, crashed on second. Pentax say NO, it not theier software and Silkypix do not respond, they have only email comunication !!!

Ok, but I paid for it ! I reinstalled the software and nothing. Is someone who can offer support for it ? What is incredible is that Pentax doesn't offer support for what I bought. Is like buing a car and when you go to delar he sent you to a third supplier hwo made the failed part

In Manual at page 298, zone 4 is defined as File Display Pane. I can not put any picture selected from bottom tumb area, to that area 4 so I can not use the software at all. If I doubleclik the picture the program is not responding anymore. Called Pentax any told me that they do not support the software and I was not able to get in touch with SilkyPix ! Any idea how to solve this issue. Software is brand new, computer also (i5/8 GB RAM, WIN 7)
