Bag & Hoods ?

Hi guys,

It's a long shot but you never know..........I've come accross what looks like a perfect bag, small, compact, good padding etc it's a Tamrac 3345 Aero 45.

The question is will the K-r complete with the 18-55mm lens (fitted) and the 50-200mm lens fit into the bag with lens hoods fitted..........hoods would be fitted in reverse?

Cheers
Bryan

Ah yeah that's probably it........240v Uk and 110v US.........that's what it will be, you'll need a transformer if buying the US version for use in the UK........mystery solved!!

thanks

Crowley......I think Dragras' point may be that the Sony is perhaps an easier camera to get to know and given my daughter is a working mum it may be, in that respect, more user friendly........if that's the rite way to put it.

Thanks cats_five I did exactly that and printed it on A4 and put it in a folder, which Angela went away with yesterday,...........but you did remind me (the memory isn't what it once was eh LOL!!) that I had saved it on the computer so I'm pouring over it again rite now.

Thanks

If it's OK can I just add on a question here?...........

Here in the Uk our K-R kit comprises of the 18-55mm and the 55-200mm as opposed to the 300mm being mentioned here...........any thoughts?...........seems like a decent combination for a novice.

Exccelent guys this has turned into a very useful thread.........for us anyways.........thanks.

While I'm here, we still haven't received our camera yet........looks like it will be Monday now but we're looking for UV filters to protect the lens, am I correct in thinking that both lenses (18-55mm & 50-200mm with the kit) are 49mm and accept a 52mm threaded filters?

And thanks again to all
slab288

PS we're also going with a Transcend 16gb Class 10 card with a Class 4 as back up......just incase!

Thanks for that guys.

I think most of it on the K-R will be done in PP (trying to get the hang of all the abreviations LOL!!) with the odd tweek I come accross on the camera, can't see anything in the owners manual that relates to B&W although with 355pages I could have missed it.

Hi guys,

I think this is the correct place for this one, if not appologies in advance and please feel free to move it.

Anyways, been searching and searching and can't find anything on pictures in Black & White, seen some black & white pictures but nothing about "How To"........or maybe you can't eh LOL!

I assume this can be done on/in the camera.........I was expecting to get our camera last evening but that didn't happen so just trawling for info before we start tomorrow.

Cheers

Thanks for the quick replies.....it's appreciated :)

And yes altopiet with the little ones being 16months & 4months it is a handfull especially when Angela also works..........she will sign up but getting the time may be a problem hence I'm here.

The Auto was/is the place to start but now she can have a play with the P button aswell and move on from there. The instruction manual I have down loaded, printed off and put in a folder (A4 size) so Angela will have something to read rather than peer at as with most instruction manuals and given it's 355 pages long the bigger the better.

I haven't had the call yet to say the camera is in so that will be later tonight then it'll be play time as they say.

Hi guys,

As mentioned in my intro my daughter has bought a K-R twin lens kit (18-55mm & 50-200mm), the main use of the camera will be taking pictures of the little ones (16months & 4months).

Now, my daughter had not even held an SLR until yesterday, the camera should be dilivered today, so the term "Complete novice" is well placed here LOL!!.

My question is........is there a few simple "Do's" to get her started?
I put it that way because I find at work it is useful to give people on training a few pointers, from there they find their way round and, in this case build from there..........hope that makes sense.

Any help would be appreciated.

It goes without saying that this is my first post and I do like the set up of the forum and everyone looks keen to help............we will need that by the bucketfull LOL!!

I'm here because I have 2 grand children (16months & 4months) and my daughter decided she would get a "proper" camera so she has bought a K-R twin lens kit, lenses are the 18-55mm and 50-200mm.

I'm noe off to ask a question.......as you do!
