Im noticing not the general panning but small choppy artefacts. Probably better seen once zoomed in.
On the other hand - i`m noticing this kind of behavior only with my new lenses (DFA 28-105 and 70-200) - my primes seems to be doing it smoother.

Hello,
It had happened before, but I decided to bring it up to check whether there is a solution.
Pentax states that its not needed to turn off SR for panning as it also helps to keep long lens stable.. But time to time instead of buttery smooth background i get some erratic artifacts (noticeable in branches).
Did anyone else notice that in their pictures?

Got the new DFA 70-200 to replace my F70-210, just because of the wider aperture.
But that oldschool F lens is really really good.. |

On the topic - I prefer portrait from Sigma more. I did not even know this lens existed.

I dont know.. After acquiring X-T10 I started breaking my head if I should apart from my main Pentax K1. That feeling even strengthened - as currently I`m facing the decision "of my life" - whether to go DFA 70-200, or 50-140. Just the weight and size factor alone triggers me very much to jump fully to mirrorless.
Back to the topic :) - some Fuji samples: |

I dont know..
There is new video of CameraVille, where he compared DFA 70-200 on K1 with 70-200 g2 on 810, and you may be surprised by the result. You Tube |

Crazy weather on the other side of the pond - we really had a week of spring warmth this season, and its is back to "winter".. But had a chance to catch some sun.

Had a very bright day, and some challenge shooting in front of the sun.
In such moments I always wish we could be in places for the right time of the day to take the pictures we foresee in our head..

Well, I did not expect that, but DFA 28-105 is something really unique..
I did some quick tests comparing long range center sharpness and quality with (50-135mm, 100mmWR, 70-210mm) and that thing was 1:1 with 100 Macro and above the rest.
Picture is not from the test, but a quick random snap. Sun is just behind her naughty hair. I got this pretty underexposed, but did some recovery on LR.
The only thing I might miss is just bit more BOKEH. The rest is just perfect.

Not my best picture, but to point out - two Yognuo Speed-lights were used with Wireless transmitters.
Pentax Fa35, ƒ/8.0, 3s. iso100.
P.s I`ve just bit the bullet and ordered DFA 28-105 from US to Lithuania from B&H.
I hope it will stand a chance against my legacy primes being versatile and WR.

This is a picture thread, not a Karate class, if you did not want to show your superiority yourself - you would have PM`d me for a further discussion, and believe me - at the end of the dialogue you could finally understand that my intentions are friendly.
Please have piece in your mind, and good luck with everything.

Bob, you are not my friend - i had no idea how old are you, either what were your passing exams back in your days. If you like that to be known for others - make sure to drop this info into the signature.
I commented and given advise on my good will only. Some of the users here that uses cameras do not take Certified exams, and welcome the friendly advise.
One is to take theoretical exams, and other is to use the same knowledge in practice. Good-luck, and sorry if my previous comments spoiled your afternoon.
