I followed your advise and managed to get a K-30 for $744.00 with kit lens from B&H. The customer service rep also mentioned there soon could be a permanent price drop to this new level soon!

Any thoughts on this One! I'd like to use 3 K-30's all mounted on tripods to video some projects I'm working on. My plan is to hook each one up with a Vello Freewave transmitter so that I can start the recording on each one remotely with a single press of a button. So far of the cameras I've researched the K-30 and K-5 are about the only ones that I believe I can start the video recording by remote. Mostly for what I'm doing I need a camera that will take fairly good video, and would also like to use them for stills, but I really don't need SLR quality stills. Anyone know of any other cameras that I can start the video by remote?

If the camera hadn't been in my hands at the time, I never would have gotten the shot. Needless to say I only got one shot off before I had to comfort the poor little guy :(

Hello fellow pentaxians. I'm an Iowa native and greatly enjoy taking photos of my kids and landscapes. I've had my KX for a year and so far I love it. It's just what I needed to capture my four year old running around the house. The only thing to do now is to add to my lens collection.
