Thanks for sharing that info.
I just bought an FA 50 1.7, which is supposed to have that pixie dust thang (?). Otherwise, I would most definitely jump on this K55.

K55 seems to be going for much more than the M42 55mm lenses.
Do M42 55mm f/1.8 lenses have pixie dust or just in the K55 ?

it must be substantially better than some of the great pentax manual focus 50mm lenses for me to consider buying one. to me, too many lenses overlap this focal length

I'm hoping to see some new lenses available. Enough with the camera announcements, a few more DA* lenses wouldn't hurt !

Hello from Singapore. I've been a Pentax user for about three years. Previously, I maintained a Canon system, but I sold off the heavy zooms in favor of light weight Pentax primes.
I like to bring my gears when I travel, so I'm very glad I made the switch.
