In aperture priority mode I took a shot at 1/750th. There is no click on the shutter dial to get this speed? Is there any way to manually achieve the 1/750th? What other speeds can you get using aperture priority aside from 750? I have only run a couple of rolls of film through my camera and just noticed this on the imprinted data.
Thanks

I just received a 645N and everything seems to work fine. however when I load film and hit the shutter release to advance to the first frame I just get the ISO indicator and a blinking "0" where the frame count is.
I've read the manual and nothing in there explains this. If the film was loaded wrong there is another indicator. Also the shutter fires fine with that back unloaded with film.
Any thoughts?
thanks

That could be the issue...I emailed some repair company and they said it sounded like the "shutter magnet" might be dirty....anyone know how to clean this?

It is still doing it with the brand new alkaline batteries...I shot 5 frames yesterday..went out today and my first exposure was 1/125th and the shutter snapped and stayed open for 5 seconds..The remainder of the roll it worked flawlessly. Is there anything that could need lubrication? Im at a total loss? It seems like the camera just needs to warm up to get working...kinda like my '66 Pontiac.

So my winnings at the auction showed up the other day and I have run a few rolls of film through it. However I noticed on my Pentax 645 that if I set the camera down for a few hours or overnight and go to snap a photo that the shutter sticks. Even if I set the shutter to 1/125 it clicks and stays open for 5-20 seconds. This only happens when it has been resting for 3+ hours between exposures. At first I thought it was a weak battery issue so I replaced it with fresh batteries and it still does this. However I am using rechargeable batteries as opposed to alkaline. The alkalines are 1.5v and the rechargeable AAs are 1.2v Would this cause issues? Does anyone else use rechargeable batteries without issue? On all my digital equipment (flashes/D7000 etc.) the rechargeable batteries work flawlessly. Or maybe I just have a sticky shutter?
Any insights would be much appreciated.

I just bought the 645 online and i went ahead and purchased the NPC Polaroid back to go with it...I'm totally new to MF and film photography in general...I thought Polaroids were just for kicks back in the '80s!
Anyways...Where is the best place to order instant film for this...and what kind of film does it take? (are there different kinds of Polaroid film for MF backs?)
Also...I know you cant change film backs in the middle of the roll with the 645 but can you take a few Polaroids and take that back off? Or do you ruin all the insta film by doing that? It would seem like I made a horrible purchase if I have to snap off 15 shots of Polaroid just to be able to load my film. (guess I should have figured this out before I shelled out $65 for the Polaroid back)
As I have not even received the camera or the back in the mail I'm sure I will have more questions when it arrives...Ill try to go through the forjums to find as many answers as I can so I'm not repeating questions already asked..
Thanks

I just bought a Pentax 645 off of ebay for what I thought was a decent deal at $250 for 75mm lens and one 120 back..plus some filters and a camera bag! I'm very excited for it to arrive and I presume I will have lots of questions about it...so here I am!
Thanks
