Here is one of the small falls in Alberta. It was flooded in 2013, and now there is hardly any water... but the big "earth's bones" seems particularly uninterested and undaunted by the water or lack of it.

Yours "formercanuk" looks like its a heavy weight. The "CZJ" is very light. For some reason I feel like going to take some photos with that little gem.

Did I hear / read she paid $175 to take a beginners course and they are going to do some touring - well, here in Calgary they have a Canon store (but doesn't sell anything - only offers classes and has some lenses to try) They want $125 for one trip to the (Calgary) zoo to learn how to take photos through fences and glass. So I think she should have fun if nothing else.
But what do I know...

i have one. it didn't really fit on my camera- turns out it had a ricoh pin issue. But it takes spectacularly sharp pics! haven't used it in a while.
enjoy it.
oh oh oh... it is the same as a Miranda lens.
