Hey guys just got a YASHICA 50mm 1.9 reverse macro purpose... been wanting to try the reverse, and finally got a chance when i got this from ebay for 6 bucks... seems good to me, need some unbiased opinions let me know what you'll think? ohh yea used k10d with 422d wireless triggered, some lightroom editing

ps. the weird waves in the bokeh are from resizing... tried to fix but no luck

Just bought a new Sigma 24-60 f2.8 dg ex... Didn't see much on the forum when I was researching, soo this might be some help to future buyers. Tested it out with fa 50mm 1.4. Took a few shots, more to come later... I think its a keeper, image quality is on par with 50mm 1.4, maybe a little better. Build quality is really nice, some might think its heavy but I love the weight :D... It does hunt in low light, but can't complain for the price I paid. Let me know what you'll think, or if I missed something in the comparison test?

Hey, yea I thought I would need a wide angle... But now that im shooting outdoor, I have plenty of room to back up. I have tamron 28 200 just in case I can't fit everything in the 50mm. Just don't want to use it because the 50mm is sharper and better picture quailty IMO. what do you think? The students were instructed to wear black or white shirt with jeans, I guess thats better then random colors...

Sorry for the delay in responding... First thanks a lot, didn't think I would get that many responses that quick. Okay I have decided to shoot outdoor, due to lack of available light. There are no windows, and the room they want to shoot the picture has dim lighting. Just in case if the sun is really bright, any fill techniques, i.e aprt setting, iso, shutter settings I can use as default and then adjust from there? First time using fill, and I have had my flash for only 2 weeks know, and I don't have too much time to practice. I will be using K10d with FA50mm 1.4, sunpak 422d, mounted on a tripod. Really wanted to do it indoor but just don't have the equipment for such a large shoot. Anyways thanks again for the help & advice!!!

Hey guys im in trouble!!! I have to take a group photo for a local religious education center, I thought it was going to be portrait/group(3-5 people). Not knowing I said sure I'll volunteer. Now I find out that they want photos with 30 person group!!!:eek:. I have a k10d, and sunpak 422d(and homemade lightsphere) . Is there anyway I can shoot indoor with the existing lighting? what would I need minimum to pull off this shoot indoor? Also, could I do a panoramic? Any advice or tips from fellow members will be greatly appreciated. TIA

Hey, thanks for the reply... thats a really nice shot. I wasn't considering the 28mm, I was looking at the tamron 28-200. But after looking at that shot I wouldn't mind having it... Does anyone know which one is better/sharper the pentax 50 200 or tamron 28 200???

Im going to colorado for winter break? I just purchased a k10d and 50mm 1.4 couple of weeks back, so being a college student I can't afford anything expensive!!!!:(. Anyways I was looking at the tamron 28 200 xr(if) non di version for 150 bucks. What do yall think??? I was also considering the tamron 70 300, but i like the focal lenght on the 28 200. Found plenty of reviews on the tamron 70 300, but can't really find anything on the 28 200??? Guys who have used the 28 200 please let me know what yall thought? Also I used the search but couldn't find anything constructive on the 28 200.

need critique on some random photos... still new to k10d/dslr... resizing lowered quality a lot, but had no other program beside nero photosnap... lens was pentax 50mm f1.4... Any comments and advice welcomed...TIA!!!

hey thanks jc... I was also comparing the resized image to the original and the original is way sharper. Could I have lost sharpness due resizing?

Hey, thanks for reply. I also thought the image was soft, could be because camera focused more on the eye area causing the blur/softness near the nose area? The shot was taken indoor with no flash, 1/4 f4.0 iso 800. The over lighting i guess was overdone in lightroom by me...

Hey guys just joined the Pentaxforum. I got my k10d last week and can't keep my hands off it... Anyways here is an image of a dog skull i took while my girlfriend was studying for anatomy... Also some messing around in lightroom, didn't really know what i was doing... Just wanted to know what you guys thought? :D
