Thanks osv. I appreciate the compliment.

It's the end of the month with the qz-35m.

Here are a few more of my favourites through the month.

There are some absolutely amazing shots here. Like many I feel very tentative about posting as I don't feel that my shots are up to everyone's standards.

Having said that, I feel it would be a good time to look back over the year. I've had a very busy one, with the arrival of my first wolfiepup. She basically sucked the energy/creativity out of me for the first half of the year and I have only gotten back into the swing of things over the last few months.

Having said that, going through my albums I've found a few shots that I had taken that I had completely forgotten about which I'm quite pleased with. So doing this exercise has already reaped its own rewards, showing me that I did manage to take a few shots that I'm happy with.

Obviously wolfiepup features heavily in my top ten, but interestingly so do flowers. Unfortunately my wolfies barely feature at all, with only one shot of Elsie making it. They truly have been neglected this past year...

Let's start with the flowers

A pretty birdie

Then comes Elsie,

And then finally, the subject that has been foremost on my mind this past year, wolfiepup

I have just gone and pulled the trigger on a pentax kp and theta m15 bundle.

*Runs around screaming*

First time I've bought a brand new camera body in over 10 years.. usually I buy secondhand...

but omg omg omg omg.

Hyperventilating and excited at the same time.

819,200 iso baby... bring it on. Here's hoping I can shoot in the dark!!

This is the most expensive/amount of money I've spent to date on one single item. *gulp*
Someone hold my hand???? lol.

---------- Post added 08-22-18 at 04:33 PM ----------

and OUCH... I know I've been away for a while, but i didn't realise my likes had dwindled down to 0...:eek::confused::confused:
I'd forgotten they swipe it clear when you go stop posting for a while :(

What do you mean September is over already?!

I took more photos than I showed. But I have yet to process them to put up to share.

All I can say is 50mm is a lot wider than I remembered, and actually works ok in my house. And it’s nice to get up to 135mm. I only missed the wide end a few times. But I wasn’t really on my game..

Got two explores out of it though which was pretty cool - nice way to get back in the saddle.

If you want to know whether you should pull the trigger or not, I say do it. The compression at 135, and shot open wide is a magic combination.

No hurricanes or typhoons here. However, my latest Singles In managed another Explore. Very happy with that.

I just checked the tracking number with Australia Post. They said expect it either Friday or Monday week.

I have a session tomorrow, and was hoping to play with it. But it's probably for the best that I don't bring out a new lens that I've never tried before on a paying client. LOL.

Can't wait till it arrives and I get to play!!

That's a cute one. I have a machine. Do I use it much? Nope. Yet I keep on putting things off because I know I COULD take it out to make things rather than buying. Vicious cycle. lol

I have the K mount version, but it's a M lens, not an A lens.

This is me using it on the KP this afternoon. Shot wide open.

Hrm I might have that lens squirrelled away somewhere... you’ve got me curious now... might go see about playing..

Bwahahaha I have so many lenses I don’t even remember what I own

Turns out it’s a 200/4 pk mount. Guess I know what I’ll be playing with today

Yeah the mfd is a bit of a killer. Started playing this morning in the house and struggled a little. I have also been spoilt with and can’t spin that focus wheel fast enough to capture the girls - even though one was specifically walking slow for me

---------- Post added 08-29-18 at 09:23 AM ----------

Mine came in a huge bundle of Pentax lenses from a guy a couple of years ago at a price I couldn’t pass up. I ended up just putting them away and haven’t even played with any of them yet damn lab... lol

Now that I have the kp I’m curious to see what kind of results I’ll get with my gear because I swear the 17-50:2.8 that I own has moved up another notch with the kp compared to my k50 and ks2

I've never heard of credit cards price matching anything that you buy. it's a debit card through mastercard, not a proper proper credit card. so it just uses mastercard's services but takes the money directly out of my account.

bwahahahaha. that's funny!!

wtf... 2.6-2.8?! HELLS YES.. what's the equivalent of that in pentaxland? DA* 17-50/2.8?

it's the official supplier for pentax here... *shrug*

I must admit, i'd never even read the terms and conditions. i just trusted they would do me right.

no idea if they are open on saturdays. i guess i'm a little scared they'll say no, and it's a bit intimidating to ask.... lol

they shipped that sucker out to me in less than 48 hours. considering i live rurally, that's a feat in itself. i don't believe i've ever received anything that fast. it's almost like they were waiting for me to receive it before they sent that email out!!

meanwhile, there appears to be 20% discounts all over ebay with dcexpert and ted's for the kp, which still brings it to like just over a grand, whereas i paid $1399... *winces*

all i had to do was hold on tight for two more days... i still can't believe it.

I’ve sent an email to ask. I don’t know what they will say though. And it’s Friday night now.

I swear it felt like they waited till it arrived and then sent that sale off #conspirqcytheory #cozitsallaboutme lol

I mean it was only like 45 mins between my husband picking it up from the post office and me receiving the email

I checked terms and conditions. They don’t accept refunds and they require a 20% restocking fee!!

Anyway I’ve written the email, so we shall see.

Omg!!

So my Pentax kp arrives two days after I order it, and then not half an hour after I have it I my little hands I get an email from CD kennedy telling me they’ve dropped the price til 990 until Sunday with 15% off any lens!!!

I could cry!!! The one time I pull the trigger instead of hesitating... *bangs head Against wall*

I paid an extra $400!!!

Everybody get on and go and buy that sucker. $990 is an absolute steal.. and for once I’m not the one doing the robbery!!

Definitely cold by Australian standards. You guys have underfloor heating and floor insulation as standard right? I think I was watching some Canadian renovation shows that was fascinating.

We are about 2 hours from the Snowy Mountains. It's rare that snow makes it out there. In Winter 10-14 degrees celcius is usually the high during the days.

Thanks on the Congrats. CR Kennedy just sent me a dispatch email!! *Does little dance*

It should be in my hands next week!! Yess...

bwahaha. It is cold. and yes, my 5 year old broke down at the dinner table over something once, and he looked at me in horror

I don't think he quite understands how emotional girls get.. lol

Thanks. :) Here's hoping. I've loved my k-50 stormtrooper, but it's not doing what I need. :asleep: I will miss it though. And am still itching that I couldn't get the silver and black version of the KP
