Try some "Blue Stuff " its a modelling compound that can be moulded and sets hard, then paint it.

Make sure the the front element is tight, I have had an old Tamron 80-210 where it was loose and caused a similar problem

I recently took some pictures at a charity boxing event in Plymouth that my stepson was taking part in. Anyway it was only after looking at the images on my computer I realised the official photographer was using a Pentax K-3.

I bought my K-1 a week ago after months of considering getting a Nikon D810 and possibly a D500 for action. The Tamron equivalent zoom lenses for Nikon were much cheaper and this swayed me in favour of Nikon. However I rarely shoot action/sports and the K-1 has everything I want , The Nikon D810 does not. I got a good deal on the DFA 15-30 and the DFA 24-70. The D750 has less megapixels and has an anti-aliassing filter so I really didn't consider it.
What ever you choose will be the right decision for you.

Got it yesterday, its a beauty. Done the latest firmware update. Got the 15-30 and 24-70 as well. I have taken a few pics with the 24-70 and I am impressed.
I going to have a lovely weekend.

I just ordered one as they are a lot cheaper now. Its a shame they haven't upgraded it to make it faster, higher capacity and perhaps more functions.

I went to a wedding a few months ago and saw a guy with a K5 and a photographer with a K3. No other DSLRs around.
Quite amazing.
Well no really. the guy was my son, the photographer was a friend and it was my wedding and my cameras.

Just a thought. Have you tried cleaning the battery contacts in the camera.
