No. I need to update. This was mentioned to me yesterday on Facebook. I will do that as see if the problem shows up again. I sure hope not.

I will look into that. I bought the cards at Walmart. Don't know if that matters. Although, with this most recent card, I have used it and filled it before without trouble. Perhaps I am not preparing it for use again correctly. I have just been deleting the photos off the card once they are downloaded and backed up. Some have suggested that I need to format the card every time I wipe it clean. I have never done that to any card and I have used this camera for three years now without trouble. I have only had this problem with the recent 16G cards that I bought. Maybe I need to go back to the 8G cards.

No. The card isn't locked because I can get it to store photos again without taking the card out. It just seems to hiccup for a few shots. But, during that time, all photos taken are lost. I get an error message on the view screen that says the image can't (or wasn't I can't remember) be stored. If I press the play back button, the camera says the image cannot be displayed. I, then, cannot get to any of the photos taken until one stores. It is so frustrating! I am terrified that I will loose an important photo. I will try defragging the card later but I get to the point that I don't trust the card. I have been using SanDisk for years without trouble. The cards that have given me trouble have 16G on them and both times (two different cards) there was PLENTY of room on the card when the images wouldn't store.

I've run into a problem a couple of times in the recent past and I was wondering if any of you have run into the same problem. Several times, after taking a photo, the camera says that it cannot (or did not) store the image. The image shows up as a preview and then it is not stored. Is this a camera or a SD card problem?? The first time it happened, I stopped using the card. Yesterday it happened again with a different card. I don't want to keep loosing photos! Any help would be appreciated. |
