Has the much talked about flash overexposure in the K-5, (put down to firmware problems), been fixed in the K-5 II(s)?? If so will it be back-ported to the K-5?
Cheers

When shooting RAW (only) what processing is done on the image before displaying it on the LCD?
If I set WB, CUSTOM settings (eg contrast, BW filter ETC.) these seem to be reflected when the RAW image is played back. What I would really like to know is SHARPING and NR applied? If so this may give me a false sense of security about my image.
Is a small "processed" image created at image capture time and embedded in the RAW?
Cheers,
Tim

When the K-5 file format is set to RAW only, (no JPEG), the SHADOW CORRECT box is highlighted and modifiable in the "CAPTURE MODE" screen, P24. Other jpeg only options are greyed out. This suggests that shadow correction is applied to the RAW file.
Also... in HC when the "exposure" of the RAW data is increased by 1 EV, to compensated for the -1 EV at capture, is this applied uniformly? It may make sense to do a little less to the highlights,

So a “control” is just a “master” that does not fire during capture. And you can’t really have a master and control operating together as the "master" would just act like a slave.
This also means that for "contrast control sync" you need a on camera master and off camera slave, or an off camera wired master and a slave.

What is the difference between wireless flash Control units, Master units and Slave units?
Say I’m using the inbuilt flash and two external units. The inbuilt is set to “controller” the first external to “master” and the second external to “slave”. The controller tells the other units what to do but does not illuminate the subject itself. Correct?
I assume that in this scenario the only difference between the master and slave is if I use “contrast control sync”, then the slave will fire at 1/3 the normal intensity. Correct?
What would happen if I set both externals to “master”?
I’ve RTFM (AG540) but it makes no sense, (to me).
Thanks,
Tim
