I found this about focusing using bellows vs extension tubes and now it's even clearer:

Thanks to everyone for your responses, I think I understand better now.

I'm assuming you're referring to used equipment on ebay, but those seem like great prices compared to what I've been seeing there.

Right now I have a set of extension tubes on the way that I'm going to play with using my M50 1.7. We'll see how it goes.

RioRico, most places where enlarger lenses are recommended a bellows is recommended as well. Is there a reason that extension tubes wouldn't work with an enlarger lens? What would the advantage of a bellows vs. extension tubes be when dealing with an enlarger lens?

We purchased our eneloop 2000 mAh several years ago, and they have been excellent in our K100D. They don't come fully charged right out of the package.

We've found that even when the battery meter says that we are low on battery, the camera will often still operate for a good number more photos.

Hello!

I purchased a K100D about 2 years ago and have used it sparingly with only the kit lens, but now am looking to get more involved in photography. I've been lurking in the forums and especially the reviews for several months now.

I think my next purchases will be a 50-200mm DAL (to add range and available at reasonable prices) and then perhaps a macro lens (the manual konime-made vivitar 55mm f2.8 1:1 macro caught my eye). Beyond that, probably will look to add a 35mm fast prime lens and then be done with lens purchasing for a while!

Greetings to all.
