Got a 5pack of Kodak Tri-x 320 off ebay.

I had messaged a guy on another photo forum about buying some rolls from him but guess he wasnt in too much of a rush to sell, he messaged me back saying "mailing a couple rolls to you isnt worth it, just pick em up from me next time your in West LA". For me it was a hard pass, mainly cuz I dont even know when Im gonna be in LA again, and I'm not gonna spend a whole day taking the metro/train/bus to go to West LA just for a couple rolls of film.

Welp, USPS Is USPSing again. Mailed it out package on the 20th (tuesday) & it got to the usps distribution center in the guys city (Springfield, MO) on Friday, so it *could* have been delivered that day (a day early, btw) since the D.S. is ~3 blocks away from the guys place (a 15 minute drive away, at most). Its been showing "Moving through network, In Transit to Next Facility, Arriving Late" since saturday night 😤🫠

Update: finally got delivered

Sold my Mindshift Gear messenger camera bag. Its aood bag, but ended up being a smidge too small & bulky when I put my "go out & shoot street photos" gear in it (which ended up being more than I thought, even though I try to keep it minimal).

Also forgot that monday is a federal holiday & USPS is closed that day, so I'll have to wait till tuesday to mail it out.

One youtube channel I recommend watching is Karl Taylor/Visual Education Studio (here: Visual Education - YouTube), he has some informative videos on the channel when it comes to lighting, especially with product photography.

Got a Leofoto LC-80 (80mm) tripod feet (here Leofoto SC-50/SC-80 Set of 3 Universal Rubber Tripod Feet 3/8" Grippy) to use on my monopod, got it for $4.50 due to having alot of saved reward points from them & used 'em to get a discount on it. I had got the smaller sized ones, the LC-50 (50mm), last year to use it my monopod, but figured Id put them on my tripod instead & use the LC80 ones on my monopod so there'd be a bit more grippy area to keep it a smidge more stable & if one ever messes up I still have two extra.

Heres a couple photos, the top one is the foot (its 80mm, 3.15"wide) next to a candle top to show the size, and the other is a foot screwed onto the bottom of the monopod.

Got a Nomatic McKinnon Accessory Straps off evilbay for a few bucks cheaper than B&H/other stores. Got it mostly for the few times I may want to go out with my monopod/tripod & not want to hand carry it, and because the used Thinktank Vision 15 bag I also got off evilbay didnt come with tripod straps or raincover (dont really care not having the raincover, dont go out to shoot when its likely to rain).

I was going off this: Search a film by DX number : 912513
There's various iterations of Kodak Max/Ultramax (Search a film : Kodak max), so without a box its hard to tell which one it is.

Ive bought expired film & looking for info on those films, Ive learned that the older the film (especially from the 90's & older), the more a pain in the butt it is to find solid info on it, especially if theres different versions of it

Da!

Only thing I dont like on camera bags is the "integrated camera strap", which it had, so I just cut it off & replaced with with one I already have. 3rd photo is with my gear in it.

CP+ 2024 (w/o Ricoh Imaging again)

Trade shows in general can get pretty pricy for companys, at times starting at around the 6 figure ($100,000+) range just for the space, and that doesnt factor in setting up the booth, man power, etc. Not suprised Ricoh decided to instead spending that kind of money & still compete with everybothy else there for peoples attention, they'll just save some money doing their own event.

Look at the trade shows E3 & Photokina, one of the reasons they stopped, even before covid came along, was due to companys where slowly pullingbback from doing them cuz they figured "why give other people big chunks of money to show off outpr stuff when we can just show it off ourselves online/our own events?"

Got a Kodak 3A Series III folding camera for ~$60 (with shipping & taxes) off evilbay, maily due to the seller mislabeling it. It's the last 122 format (3.25x5.50) folding camera Kodak in the early 1940s (made from 1941-43), it is rare dure to them making a small number of them & eventually stopping altogether due to WWII happening.

Rearranging my gear in camera bag so when I take the metro to LA to do some street photography.
Able to fit the gear I want in it, buuuuts its a pretty tight fit. Have been debating if I should get a bigger bag (Domke F2 or similiar sized one)

*FPP is doing a "short date" sale on some slightly expired Kodak Tmax 100 (exp 8/23) & Tmax 400 (exp 9/23) in 120 for $5.99 a roll if anybody wants to get some cheap Kodak 120 film.

New 220 film from Reflx Lab, 4x5 soon to come...

Reflx Lab has released Pro 100 color film (Aerocolor IV 2460) in 220 format (here: Reflx Lab Pro 100 Color Negative Film-220). Kinda pricey at $25 bucks a roll, but considering its fresh color film, and equals out price wise if your buying two rolls of 120 color film.

They announced on their instagram that they are also releasing color film in 4x5 (which is also Aerocolor IV 2460). No price yet & no number of sheets/pack options yet, but they'll probably offer 10 & 25 sheet options.
