Good idea for starting a new contest, Anton.
The first to show us all how to do it, Bart. Love the tones.
Always loved your black and whites ivoire,
Immunogirl, wonderful renditions both are so different. Love your creative mind and you're always an inspiration.
samtr87, I agree with Anton Magus... it's not cheating, at all... cool process.
ghl, getting rid of the clutter and adjusting the levels made a big differece.
chemtech, love what you did with the photo. The subject really stands out.

Hooooorah! Autopiet, Immunogirl, kyteflyer and GT you have gotten the #54 Point and Shoot "Abandonment" off to an excellent start. I have plenty of photos of the i-4 eyesore "Majestic Building" but I'll have to find something new and different to shoot. This theme is perfect to get out in the back country. Thanks, Bart.

The point and shoot camera that can "wow" an audience is because of the "wow photographer. Proving it's the "wow" photographer that creates the "wow" not the tools.> Well done everyone!
Welcome Todd and Nuff! Your entries were amazing.
I am looking forward seeing more of your PnS photography.

This drive-by capture is the "Majesty building" in Central Florida. Many Floridians call it the I-4 eye sore. It's been over 12 years since anything has been done with it. The CEO told the news that it will be completed October 30th but that's is unlikely as there has not been workers on site for a long loonnnnng time. :hmm:
This squirrel thought I had something for him. He let me get close but I had nothing for him but the quick snap of my panasonic DMC ZS6.

Yeah..... the rubber ducky game was cute and very popular game too. There's something about cute rubber duckies in the water that draws cute little kids that draws a crowd.
Thanks for commenting... I thought this place was dead. :o

Many young ones gets to live another day because of the daily conflict the elderly go through to preserve their life another day.
Voila, last entry from my archives from several months ago.
The cat followed the toad wherever he went but never harmed it. She still was interested in playing with the toad and maybe even the kill but far too frail to do anything about it. Conserving energy was priority in her last week of life.

G.T. you WON (the most conflicting photo > for me. The young buck is seldom seen on a wall. Why so young? Did a child kill this? Most are 3.5 years old when hung on a wall and the quality bucks (for hunters to be trophies) are four and a half years or above  There's a story to be told here and I see the conflict and I'm curious.

Once there was an officer of the Royal Navy named Captain Bravado who showed no fear when facing his enemies. One day, while sailing the Seven Seas, his lookout spotted a pirate ship approaching, and the crew became frantic. Captain Bravado bellowed, "Bring me my red shirt!"
The first mate quickly retrieved the captain's red shirt, and while wearing the brightly colored frock, the Captain led his crew into battle and defeated the mighty pirates. That evening, all the men sat around on deck recounting the triumph of earlier. One of them asked the Captain, "Sir, why did you call for your red shirt before battle?"
The Captain replied, "If I were to be wounded in the attack, the shirt would not show my blood. Thus, you men would continue to fight, unafraid." All of the men sat and marveled at the courage of such a manly man's man. As dawn came the next morning, the lookout spotted not one, not two, but TEN pirate ships approaching. The crew stared in worshipful silence at the Captain and waited for his usual orders.
Captain Bravado gazed with steely eyes upon the vast armada arrayed against his ship, and without fear, turned and calmly shouted, "Get me my brown pants."

This is going to be another exciting contest.
NeatKnight ...Excellent theme and love that we can get creative with post processing.
Patajac I love your first entry. . . beautiful conflict "Fire and Water"
altopiet you split my gut with your brilliant and outrageous photographed drawing. You inspired me to enter a spoofed photo this month. Your 2nd photo was "ouch" and I am glad you came out of it safe and in one piece. Not having to pay for damages was also a plus.
chubasco and Bart your black and whites are superb!
Immunogirl, you seem to have the most conflict I've seen so far.
Great entries by all.
Below are my 2 entries for "CONFLICT"
#1 Boy Vs Monster at Lake Monroe
Camera: Panasonic Lumix DMC ZS6
The addition of the Lock Ness monster was taken with a Panasonic Lumix model DMC-TZ5
(pd source here)
#2 Man Vs Nature
Camera: Panasonic Lumix DMC ZS6
I will post my 3rd entry when I can find more conflict in my life. :ugh:
