All the other camera manufacturers are jumping into FF Mirrorless as the way to go but I doubt very much whether Pentax will go down this route, at least not yet. Just look at what Panasonic/Lumix are coming up with, with their S1R.

This gets my vote. I just love the old sailing barges of the Thames and east coast rivers. I've got thousands of images of my own and didn't think to enter. LOL
Love the early morning lighting.

2018 Pentax Survey

Have done the survey (eventually). LOL A lot to plough through and some interesting points. It would have been nice to have a section at the end for own ideas and thoughts. Just over a week ago, I attended a workshop hosted by SRS Microsystems on pet photography and run by Ross Grieve and Panasonic. I had the opportunity of using the GH5. Ross uses a setting of 6K Photo which basically does a video burst at 6k and you can use each frame for a photo or go through and select the best frame to export. I thought this feature was a great way of overcoming limited FPS in still shooting. My thoughts at the time was, "If only Pentax had a feature like this, especially on FF with K mount." If Pentax think of developing a FF Mirrorless camera with this feature, I would be queuing up to be the first to get one. I'm sure Pentax could easily do an 8K video photo mode in FF with AF. It would be a winner.

Took this at Knole House, Sevenoaks, Kent, UK. Large historical house with huge grounds (the backyard :) )
Went trundling across some very bumpy grass on my mobility scooter trying to see how close I could get to the deer without spooking them. Used a fairly high ISO so that I could keep a decent shutter speed as I was shooting handheld. Just love this Pentax lens. :)

Took this from the sea wall at Greenhithe, Kent, looking towards Grays, Essex. Camera on tripod but had left the lens tripod collar at home. Wind was buffeting the set up quite a lot so I tried to stand by the side to shelter it. Use Live View and a 2 second delay. (also left my remote at home ) ISO 6400

Love the cross lighting which really enhances the twisty shapes of the trees and branches. The road gives a lot of depth to the picture.

Of the designs you have the black 1/2 a Pentax missing is the best of the bunch. Think I need to produce my own design with a whole camera picture and with the logo - Shoot using AK-1. LOL

Shutter problem?

Thanks for your reply. All that is recorded on my SD card is a blurry burnt out frame with normal exposed photos either side.
I'm printing out a contact sheet and will drive round to SRS at some point and take the prints and camera with me and discuss the problem with them.

Shutter problem?

Has anyone had any problems with their K-1 shutter? Several times now, when shooting, the mirror has gone up and locked. I've found that releasing the shutter button and pressing it down then makes it go in a flap, after which it works as normal until next time it happens. This happened yesterday when I was in multi exposure mode, and again today using single shots. I think a trip to Pentax servicing is needed.
