One more thing, which is sometimes forgotten when talking about max flash sync is the power (or maybe better to say efficency) of the flashgun. At maximum sync speed we have the most effective power from flashgun - more power, quicker recycle, etc. It is really good to have more than 1/180 :)

Pixel mapping affects only images, it doesn't work with video. That's the reason why you have bad pixel visible on videos. This thing is rather unrepairable and you have to live with it ;)
You have only one dead pixel, I have two and both of them are in the center of the video - not a very best place to see a dead pixels ;(

I disagree with your opinion. Yes the new layout is much more lighter and user friendly. BUT... automatic scalling of images (to the bidgger one in this case) is the worst thing which can be done to the great, sharp and precisely created photographs. Look at those photos once again (in original size and resized) and you will see the difference, BIG difference.
I hope (and pray) this new layout will be quickly changed by webmasters.
