It most likely is techniqually better in most aspects. What you lose is the retro and the size.

This fully working Rolleicord Art Deco is my latest one. Some clean up and it lloks decent and I also ordered an new mirror for it. Took it almost completely appart and bended some metal sheets into plase and lubricated so now it is just a tiny but gritty in use.

Though there are for sure different models and qualities of voltage monitors and I am pretty sure that the ones Pentax uses arent top notch.

Same here with all my Pentax. Quite remarkable how they manage to be so consistently inconsistent in that area.

Matt Granger is a nice guy, he just went from covering almost only Nikon to be more general. In short he got his taste and it is no secret.
He was seriously ill just a short time ago so it isnt that remarkable that he seems to lack a bit of energy now in the videos.

Guys, donīt be so friggin paranoid about the cameras. They are built to take a fair amount of abuse during their lifetime, they arenīt newborn babies. ;)

F8 ISO200 1/40 would have worked much better for sure.

That will always be the problem close up with faces at varying distances from the camera. The depth of field simply isnīt enough to cover all in many cases. The best thing is to focus in-between the varying distances so both will be "equally sharp/unsharp". This has made me pull my hair more than once when photographing evens and people donīt line up at the same distance from the camera.

At F22 you will most likely get both in focus no matter what but nothing will be really sharp. 1/10s is extremely slow even for posing humans too so it probably didnt help.

People are way too paranoid about their glass. Iīve have cleaned fungus-ridden lenses, lenses with separation and have had lenses with all kinds of scratches and most work just fine. Iīve also have and had lenses that looks/looked pristine but were in horrible condition when it came to actual use.

Why did you shoot at F22? That is way into the diffraction zone so while everything will be in focus nothing will be sharp.

Noise at low ISO's?

Wow, that is a lot? You should try to underexpose ISO400 color film and see that noise! ;)
Joking aside, expose to the right in the histogram to minimize noise, but your picks still look very good to me.
