I'm Ian, from Halifax, West Yorkshire, England.
I've been taking photos for decades, and have recently started collecting gear - good film cameras and MF lenses etc are rather overlooked and undervalued in these days of digital.
My first SLR was a Praktica IVF, since then I've been with Exakta and Nikon, mainly with Zeiss & Tamron lenses. Recently I've got interested in old flash equipment (Mecablitz 500, 402, CT60-1).
Anyway, I'll be watching the posts to see what everyone else is doing, and maybe looking for hints about repairs. I've a Pentacon 300/4 with loose iris blades (previous owner let too much oil inside!), and I need to know whether to go in from the front or the back. Any recommendations, anyone?
