Boulders and Lake

The boulder pile Gloppedalsura in Rogaland Norway. Gloppedalsura consists of avalanche boulders that are piled on top of an end moraine, a process that dates back to the last ice age about 10 000 years ago.

In more recent times Gloppedalsura was the stage for fighting between the German Nazis and the Norwegian resistance army in the early days of the Nazi invasion of Norway in 1940.

On Fridays we play around, eat pizza and have fun. This Friday Shelby was not feeling well and I had an allergy problem, so we were not up to par with much of anything.........we just went through the motions for a few shots and called it a day early.

I didn't like the gray background with her grey shirt, but I did like the pose.....her favorite "sullen" look, although I do prefer that "girl next door " look much better.

I played with it in DXO FilmPak3 and found I really liked this version.......What do you think?

The view from our loft window during a recent rain shower, this is processed through the TopazAdjust4 plugin in CS5. A mild HDR effect.:)

Recently i have been asked to shoot some portraits for a biography featuring one of our ballet company's dancers in a dance magazine.

Obviously i friendly obliged and here are some of the results. :hmm:

This first shot is ment to show the dancer outside in the open far away from her daily struggle in the journey to physical perfection, looking for something different...

This second shot is that of the dancer exercising one of her jumps. They asked me to make it dramatic and motionfull so i did a little bit of photoshopping on this one.

Other then that i also did a poster/program shoot for one of the company's premier's for this year. This is one of my favourite shots from that shoot.

And some more peformance shots wich i had laying around.

I hope you enjoy some of them and feel free to comment and share you critique's!

Cheers!

Grand Central Terminal.

7. Terminal, not station...

8. Met Life and the Chrysler buildings are neighbors.

9. The 48-ft high statue of Minerva, Hercules, and Mercury. It's the largest Tiffany glass clock.

10. Vanderbilt Hall used to be the waiting area. Now it's rented out for events.

11. The other side. The chandeliers are gold plated, discovered after renovation.

12. The famous clock on the information booth. Valued over $10,000,000.

13. The dining concourse. There is a walkway inside the windows.

14. Stairway people on the other end.

Black & White 35mm film shots with MZ-6

My K-r stopped working after only 2 months, and in frustration of having it sent away for repair (it's still away, been there for 2 weeks now) I decided to go film and found a nice body for cheaps (30 eur). Of course I just had to learn how to develop and scan as well, one thing leads to another etc.

Camera: Pentax MZ-6
Lens: I think the lens was Cosina 24mm f/2.8 MC Macro
Film: ILFORD FP4 PLUS 125 ISO @Box Speed
Developer: Fomadon R09, Stand Development, 1:100, 60 minutes
Scanner: Epson V500

I found this in my stash and really liked it.
Really stunned I did this handheld at 1/4s and I didnt even look at the image til now!

What I have done is some levels and Tone Curve + some "fixed" some bricks in the stairs that had a strong glare.
Also cropped it to 4589 x3039.

Would love any creative ideas of how to process it better.

Fog photos are often dim in tone, flat in contrast and soft. I really like fog images but often find it difficult to keep my mitts off them with regard to pp.

Any comments regards fog photos are very appreciated and/or regards this one.
ISO was actually 640 if that matters.

Tawny Frogmouth, I think these guys are in the owl group, not sure. This one of four I am asuming that they are are family as two of the birds seem younger. Used flash (yongnuo 560). Hand held @ 400mm, photoshoped and I have the non IS version. Any advice would be gr8.
