Hello NZ_Ross! thank you for your reply.
Already tried new batteries, did the dry fire and the issue persists!

Hello I have a pentax 67 and have been using for a while and now detected this issue with the mirror lock up.
I processed 4 rolls of 120 and found that 80% of the pictures were overexposed, I was very careful with the exposure and even wrote every setting for every picture and clearly all pictures taken with MLU were vastly overexposed / unusable. This was the first time i used the mlu function consistently because i was doing landscape and wanted to have images as sharp as possible.
Then I dry fire the camera to check what was happening and the MLU option is locking the mirror but also opening curtains thus exposing film. I guess its a camera fault or maybe i am doing something wrong .
Any help / guidance is appreciated.
best.

hey John i like that TC i will check for prices, but i have another question now . Will using that tc with my 50mm MACRO LENS make it a 100mm MACRO LENS or would still be a 50mm Macro Lens with a higher magnification?? I am a bit confused now .

I dont use extension tubes because what I am searching for is a longer focusing distance and not more magnification. OR does tc increase both or only magnification?? i think i am confused now; would a 50mm macro with a 2x tc become a 100mm macro?
I understand macro will cost me 2 stops but i dont really care since i use aperture at about 8 to increase dof. AF is not important to me when shooting macro i think that manual focus is easier.

I own a FA 50mm 2.8 Macro and i think its a really good lens but sometimes i want to take bug pictures and for maximun magnification i need to get too close to the bug so it flies away. So i decided to get a 2x tc but im not sure which one will fit my needs.
I dont care if it cant autofocus but i want it to be cheap and with a good IQ.
any thoughts?
thanks and sorry for my english

which tele lens would be good for candid/portrait photography? I want shallow depth of field and my budget is low so i was thinking of a manual lens like the SMC 135mm 2.4 but it is a bit pricey for my budget.. another posibility could be the Takumar 135mm 2.4 but i have read bad reviews about this one. ive also read about the cosina 100mm 3.5 with macro capabilities but couldnt find any for sale in ebay.
I was also thinking on getting a teleconverter that i can use with my 50mm 1.4.. so ill get a 100mm 2.8 but not sure if it would be better than getting the lens.
What do you think?

Hi everyone i am from Santa Marta, Colombia and starting to get into photography.. I started using a Pentax P3 film camera that I inherited from my uncle with a manual 50mm 1.4 and a 50mm 2.8 Macro (sharp, sharp, sharp). Now i own a Pentax K-r with the 18-55 and 50-200 kit lenses.
