This is probably not the proper place to ask this but since I'm almost running out of options I might as well give it a shot. I'm looking to buy a Tamron 70-210/4 (47A). If anyone got one laying around to sell I'd appreciate their message.
Thanks in advance.

Quick question, is the database down or is it on my end?

I still have this one laying around. No idea what to do/think about it.

Exactly. And that is what I don't get. They would've sold so many more of them if there were a VF for it. I know at least ten people who didn't get one for there not being a VF. And that's only the people I know. They really failed here.

I don't want a K-02 necessarily. Just give the K-01 a VF already. Problem solved. Unfortunately this won't happen.

God, I'd love a K-01. If only there were a VF for it. If only..

I'ma just sum this up real quick.
- No tripod
- Focus center and SEL (center as well), tried both
- AF-S
I've shot yet another picture with a micro adjustment of +7 which led to a somewhat decent result, imho.

While I appreciate your effort and your reply it doesn't have anything to do with the focusing screen per se. One could even add a metal plate and the camera would focus just fine.
I'm after a solution for my focus being off. Edit:
This picture (http://i.imgur.com/lBQyodG.jpg) I have just shot with a micro adjustment of +10. In my book it's still off. Is there any way to go further than +10?
Mode: Av, f/1.4, 1/125, Iso 100 Edit2:
This one I have just taken without any micro adjustment at all. Focused on the "b". What the *#~" is happening right now? -> http://i.imgur.com/iIja9CA.jpg
Mode: Av, f/1.4, 1/160, Iso 800
And again, the very same motive with +10: http://i.imgur.com/Skh4jIe.jpg |

So..
After I've "cleaned" my focusing screen with isopropanol it's all blurry now and I'm under the impression that since this very occasion my AF is kinda off. However, I know these two don't really related so what might the problem be? LV focuses fine, btw.
Here's an example of what I'm talking about (focused on the nibble between 0.5 and 0.7): http://i.imgur.com/J0DhuLj.jpg
Lens: Sigma 30/1.4 - Mode: Av, f/1.4, 1/60, Iso 100
Any hints?
Thanks in advance.

This thingy is pretty neat, but the price is just over the top. Unfortunately.
Did they mention something about a successor to the K-01?
What about an OVF?
So there definitely are no contacts at all?

First, I appreciate your help. But that thing you linked me is exactly what I don't want (the giant rubber boat). There must be something that can be put on that hotshoe that does the job well. I refuse to believe that there isn't. It's 2012.
I have never been, I am not and I never will be a LV kind of photographer. It's just wrong (personal preference, of course). On the other hand, I do want a K-01. It's a vicious circle.

Am I correct in claiming that there are no contacts on the hotshoe so that none of the electronic VF would work? Edit: Isn't there any VF out there with indicating lines for different focal lengths or like an adjustment knurl?

So with this external VF I'd be forced to use either of these two lenses?

Has anyone actually tested the K-01 with the O-VF1? All I could find were some empty posts like "didn't work" or "not a good match".
I'd really like to get a K-01 with the 40/2.8 XS/LE or a 35/2.8 LE, but the lack of a VF is a deal breaker for me. There's got to be a solution. And no, that huge rubber boat people put on the LCD is none.

It looks the same as the Soligor 37-105/3.5. It's probably the same lens with a different name on it.

Hey folks,
quick question. I happened to get my hands on a mint conditioned Suntar 37-105/3.5 lens. Anyone happen to know if it's worth any?
Cheers

The forest in the third picture really seems squishy to me. Why is that?
#1 and #2 are really great shots.
