I am shooting in raw. So what you're saying is that in raw, the export retains the color and then I have to return to B&W in my software after export? If that is the case, then I understand. So does that mean if I shoot in JPEG and B&W, the B&W would export to iPhoto and would not retain the original color? Thanks again!

I have had my K-30 for a few weeks now and its pretty awesome. Tonight I was playing around with some of the shooting modes and shot in Black and White. However, when I downloaded memory card to iPhoto, the B&W images were not...they all came out in color. I checked preview on camera before downloading and they looked the way I wanted. What did I do wrong?

GOT IT TODAY! So far so good, sd card that came in bundle was no good, but I threw a good one in and it's amazing. So much of an upgrade from *ist dl.

I just submitted my order for black K-30 bundle from Costco. Hopefully I'll have it this week, they say 5-7 business days. I just sold my old *ist dl to my niece so this should be a pretty sweet upgrade!

Been reading this forum every now and then for sometime and never posted. I'm an amatuer photographer, love to learn, and I've used Pentax since high school with a Pentax ME. I now have an *ist dl (which I'm selling), but will be upgrading to K-30.
