Good afternoon,
Just wondering if anyone is having playback mode switching off in the middle of viewing pics on panel. Just started doing this and the only thing different on camera is the pentax battery grip.
Thanks in advance

Good afternoon. I currently have a Pentax K3ii along with a metz 52 flash for Pentax and a Yongnuo flash. I am almost certain that I cannot control the Yongnuo flash with anything other than manual use. What I am trying to find out is which transmitter and flash can I purchase to be able to use with the Metz flash off camera and still be able to use HSS if at all possible.
Thanks in advance

Okay hope to get some answers about type of transceiver I need. I currently have a K3ii and a K50. I have a metz 52af and a newer flash. Kind of hoping I can at least control the power of the metz flash from the camera and it would really be nice to use its HSS function. I am assuming I would need a radio transmitter and separate radio receivers for each flash. Thaks in advance for any and all advice.

Got it figured out I think. Was trying to set wb with an expodisc and then save that value as a wb for further shots.
Thanks

Having issues getting the custom white balance setup figured out as well as saving the wb from an image as the custom white balance.

Looking at starting to focus more on portraiture. I currently have a K50 and the kit lens(18-55), a 100 to 300 zoom, an older 28-80 zoom and a 50 mm. Wondering about a good all around portrait lens that is mid range price wise.
Thanks.

I know this has been asked and answered before. I went to the old posts and the pictures showing where to look in Photome for the number have been removed. I have tried JPEGS and Raw and also direct from SD card to make sure Exif data was not removed by software and still cant find it.

I have the cottoon carrier strap carrier. we have rode some bumpy trails in Jasper Alberta and never had a mishap. I do occasionally check the allan head bolt for tightness. We do still use the safety strap just cause.

I have had a Pentax camera in some form since my high school photography club. That was a lot of years and cameras ago. I fell away from the photography bug for awhile but it is something my wife and I do together now that the kids are gone. Received a K10 a few years back and love it still. This K50 is an upgrade I wasnt planning on but is a wonderful gift from the family. Cant wait to start using it. Waiting for the battery to charge and to get through the manual. I will say that my K10 is going no where I still love using it. Merry Christmas to all. Enjoy your family time and the extra chances for photographs.

I have now found out that this young lady has taken lots of photos from the contest. Somehow she has gotten hold of the entire list of photos. Both contest groups are now aware of this but I am not really interested in going after this legally as long as she doesn't get any more recognition. The prize was not large enough for the trouble. Still would like to know how she got them to begin with.

Thanks folks. To clarify the issue the picture was entered in a contest by the young lady who won the contest with it. Was not a huge prize but was dissapointing. She as far as I know had nothing to do with the other contest and yes she used her name as the photographer. Do I need to register anything to put my copyright notice in the metadata or no.

Welcome to the best group on the web. They will help with any question you have and read till your eyes hurt. There is oodles of advice in the posts and even looking at the photo forums and pay attention to the data about the pics. Keep your head up it will come. Some where on here I read that your worst photos are your first 15,000 pics so keep shooting and go no where without a camera. You will soon be looking around for light in different spots and forms. Good luck and have fun.

Hello all,
Just found a photo I took last summer and entered in an online contest on a prize table at a local art show. No mistaking the photo with my family and dog silhouetted the corner. The young lady got rather upset when I asked her where she got the picture from. Just want to know what I have to do here in Canada to put a copyright notice on my photos and if I have to reapply every time I post a new picture.
Thanks

Thanks everyone. What I am really looking for is something to make fancy digital photo albums. A friend of mine had it on his laptop but it crashed and he cant remember the name. When you put the DVD in a computer the pages turned like you were changing a real book page and even had an audio option.

Hello all,
Just looking for some suggestions on digital photo album software. Currently use PS CS6 and two external hard drives for pic storage. Would really like to sort photos better and be able to create nice DVD/CD with pics on them.
Thanks for any and all suggestions.

Yeah she sits at that same pole everyday. About 3 months ago her mate was hit by a semi truck. He was swooping across the road and was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. I swear she's sitting there crying. Took a lot of walks down the road before she stopped flying off as soon as I got out of my truck, Would love to see her against a better background but at least I can get up to her now. They are truly amazing birds. I am going to hate seeing her go but she should head north come spring. Not sure what she'll do with no mate but I hope she comes back. Makes the trip home from work a special part of the day.

You're hooked now. They are an amazing bird but taking photos of them can get really addictive. Have fun. I know I do. Took me three months for this gal to let me get this close.
