Part of Pentax's Limited Edition gang of three pancake lens, the Pentax SMC DA 70mm f/2.4 a short telephoto lens purposed for Pentax DSLRs with APS-C size sensor.
Hence the 'pancake' nickname, the SMC DA 70mm f/2.4 lens has relative flat design with six elements in five groups lens construction, 0.7 meters minimum focusing distance, and 0.12x maximum magnification.
It has an 105mm equivalent field of view full frame. Ideal for portrait photography or travel, the lens supports manual and auto focusing for more versatility.
The smc Pentax-DA 70mm F2.4 Limited lens is exclusively designed for use with Pentax digital SLR cameras and features an ultra-thin pancake design, along with uni-focal, medium-telephoto optics.

Well Steve,
The pixel peepers saw massive purple fringing and distortion.
LR quickly knocked out the fringing and has a lens profile for the Sigma 30mm 1.4 for Pentax.
Surprising to see that Phase One Capture 1 v10.xx Pro didn't have a Pentax profile, yet had it for the Nikon and Canon.
