Problem solved, Going thru the menu while looking at English version of operators manual online, I stumbled on a language setting, chose between Japanese and English only, chose English and everything is good.

Craig I am able to enter the menu, the first thing that comes up is to set date and time. according to the manual when the camera is first turned on you can set the language. I'm trying to get back to the initial setup, it doesn't look like the
reset in the wrench menu does that. Doing some research that English is the default language some regions may not have all the languages but English is the default. This situation must have come up a number of times where the user
wants to change the language setting. Its a nice little camera but is going to very limited with out being able to read and set up the menu items.

Just received a q7 from Japan, all menus are in Japanese, looking to reset language to English. Cannot get screen where language is set, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Taken a few years ago in Manchester NH, at their annual Labor Day weekend car show. It is usually impossible to get a picture without people in the shot.
I found this car on a side street parked in front of a little shop that made for a messy backdrop. It had the lighted open sign in the window, by blacking out the
background except for the sign,I think it really shows off one of the classic 60's designed cars.

I have seen many different insects on the flowers in the garden before, but had not seen one of these colorful guys before.
