Bozianul, if you mean the one with the image of the pope, then yes it is St. Peter's square... i did some post work to make the image of the pope in colour and i blurred the foreground just to direct the viewer straight to the image of the pope. The other courtyard is at the Louvre Paris.. Arn, thanks for the complements. I just got my Pentax AF540FGZ so i can take more portrait shots in any light. I've never worked with a flash so i'm looking forward to the learning challenge. But no doubt it'll be fun :) If anyone's got any tips on using it don't be shy :)
I've used the built in flash to soften shadows on faces when the light outside is harsh. i saw someone use a flash when shooting into the sun outdoors to over power the sun so the colour of the sky was dark and beautiful, all the colours were very saturated... i'd love to try that out...

Thanks Ole,
I follow a few simple rules. I prefer natural light over studio (not direct sunlight though). I use the DA* 55mm 1.4 lens its amazing, great depth of field control. And white foam core to reflect the window light, nothing fancy here. Sometimes i use tin foil if i want some extra high lights.
I do all the cooking and food styling as well. Freshness of food is key. Produce is always undercooked to retain its colour. Being very picky at the grocery store when picking produce is key too. It helps that i love food :) Let me know if you have any questions.... OK now I'm hungry LOL
