My K-5 seems to favour low iso / slow times. In P I had set a range fot 100 iso to 1250 iso, it was quite dark, so I was surprised to find the camera tended towards the 100 iso, with times as long as 1/3 of a second. The auto ISO parameters stood on the middle setting. I didn't anticipate this, so in the end I just bumped up the lower range. Has anyone seen similar behavior?

A slightly older photo. Would you believe it is in the heart of the 4th largest city in the Netherlands? The building used to be the royal mint.

I mainly used jpg (75% of the time) And had a detailed action set up, with (among other steps) a High Pass layer. I found that this method gave a better result than the standard unsharpen-mask.

I used to have a standard sharpening (CS4) when I used the K10d. Now I have switched to the K5 and found the action I created didn't do very much. So I have started new tests, but would like to know your take on this. Do you sharpen K5 pictures? and if you do, what method do you use?

From a series made in IJsselstein, Netherlands at the Ontmoetingskerk after the baptism-remembrance service. The bowl was filled with water, used a single strobe from below. Picture developed with pictbridge and photoshop. Picture also slightly cropped and levelled. This is my first entrance in the monthly contest. Hope it you like it.

I have listed is as an error, but perhaps it is just o be expected behavior. My manual states several times that pushing the green button should return all functions to default. I have found that both the +/- and the ISO functions (when changed by using the buttons on top of the camera) don't react to a simple green button push. Thus it might happen I am in P mode, Change ISO with the ISO button and the wheel, Then change aperture and/or time, then decide it might need a bit of extra time and adjust the +/- using the button and wheel for that. When I want to return to P I once have to push the green button (this returns aperture and/or time to P) then push the ISO button AND the green button (This returns the ISO to the P value) and then push the +/- button AND the green button (this returns the +/- to its P value). I find this very counter intuitive, just switching the camera off and on again goes faster. Even the manual states pushing the P button should be enough for all changes to be annulled. I have updated to the newest (1.11) firmware. Any thoughts on this?
