Bigger - yes. Brighter - between Pentax. I never seen OVF of D500 and I don't know how bright it is...

If the camera has outstanding AF, it's not a big deal the size of VF - 100% 1x or 100% 0.95x

K-1 has the smallest OVF between other AF DSLR FF cameras...But not much smaller. Hope new K-1III will have bigger one...
As for old Pentax AF film cameras - K-1's OVF is not worse.

I'd like to see 24 MP compact and non-expensive FF DSLR from Ricoh in the future.
1. Either breakthrough in digital era - hard durable, AW, simple and small entry-level FF camera like K1000 before.
A lot of photo medias had suggested such idea many times for last years.
2. Or something modern and advanced - smaller version of K-1 with 24 MP - with price 1300-1400 USD. Like Nikon Z5. But DSLR.
