16 Channel WirelesS Flash Trigger Asking Price
15 Item Location
Roseville,CA (United States) Item Description
Spring Cleaning - A set of 16 Channel Wireless Flash Triggers. I have used these with many different cameras, *IST DS, K10D, K20D, Lumix DMC, and they work perfectly. You get two transmitters, and two receivers. They come with 1/4" jacks, but I will also include adapters for 1/8" jacks. I have recently switched to the 4 channel because they are smaller. However, I've found the range to be better on the 16 channel, these 16 channel seem to be more reliable than the 4 channel. But anyway, you can't really go wrong for $15.

Legendary Pentax SMC K 135 2.5 Lens Asking Price
$225 Item Location
Roseville, CA (United States) Item Description
This is the well known and highly regardly SMC K 135 2.5. I'm switching systems so I need to clear out my Pentax K-Mount gear. This is a fantastic lens. Vibrant colors. Sharp wide open. Great contrast. You cant do much better in a manual focus lens. I liked this lens so much that I bought the M42 SMC Takumar 135 2.5 which is basically the same lens for my new system. If desired I can also send some sample photographs taken with this lens.
S/N 5291705
All items in excellent working condition unless noted. (No fungus, no lens scratches, and snappy apertures.)

Uh, a howtek 4500 just closed on ebay for $1200 much less than $10000. I've seen them lower than that when the auction was pickup only. My point being that the Canon/Epson consumer stuff isnt that great for scanning film. Sure an Imacon or drum scanner is over kill. But older stuff that Umax, Microtek, and Leafscanner produced will probably be much better than todays consumer hardware.

Its been about 5 years since I hung up my Bronica ETRS, so my information is certainly old.
If you shoot landscapes or nature I would highly recommend that you at least give Velvia 50 a try (do they even still make it?). Its an acquired taste, so you may love it or hate it. For nature photography I would never use anything else. Its very unforgiving, Also, I recommend shooting 220 so you change film less often.
In 2005, I didnt want to spend the money for a dedicated Nikon film scanner. I tried many different scanners that were available to me at the time. I really was not happy with the Canon or Epson offerings. The dedicated Minolta scanner was OK, but lacked the resolution. Eventually the scanner that I settled on was a Microtek Artixscan 2500. It was a big heavy beast with a SCSI connection. I bought it a large discount on Ebay. If you have the room, dont overlook legacy professional solutions like Leaf Scanner, Imacon, or other drum scanners. If you are patient you can often buy them on the cheap. in my experience they far exceeded the consumer grade scanners.

Thanks RioRico. Where do I drill the slot? I am really worried about the lens coming off. Many of my lens are very tight when focusing, and they actually turned the lens in the body (the lens wasnt unscrewing from the adapter, the adapter was turning in the body). Just in the few minutes I played around tonight, it almost fell off.

I recently bought one of the flangeless M42 to K-mount adapters on Amazon. It was this one here: Amazon.com: Fotodiox Chrome Lens Mount Adapter, M42 (42mm x1 thread Mount) Lens to Pentax K-x/PK Adapter, for Pentax K200d, K20d, K100D Super, K10D, K110D,K100D, *ist DL2, *ist DS2, *ist DL, *ist DS, Samsung GX-20, GX-10: Camera & Photo
As I discovered the clip was a real pain. I read in the forums here that the clip should be removed. I did that. I then mounted the adapter on the lens instead of on the body. However, when I do this, the lens doesnt "click" into place on the body. Its possible to still turn the lens in the body of the camera. I assume the clip is what clicks it into place.
Can anybody make recommendations for an adapter? Things I desire in the adapter:
1. Infinity focus.
2. Mounts on the lens instead of into the body. I would prefer to buy several adapters and just "convert" the lenses to K-mount.
3. When mounted on camera, adapter firmly clicks into place and there is not danger of the lens falling off.
I havent seen anything where I can get all of these. The original Pentax adapter seems like it is installed into the body rather than onto the lens. Hopefully someone can help.
Thanks!

Been a long time Pentax user, started with the K1000 of course. Had many pentax cameras since then. Now I'm looking to upgrade my *ist DS. Looks like some nice forums.
