Does anyone know if this camera has a BBF (Back Button Focus). Thanks for the previous help. Turns out you have to wait until the camera beeps for it to retain focus (sometimes that takes a while)... Now I have learned something new and want to know if my camera has it...

Wow, you guys have been so awesome teaching me and helping me learn about my camera!!

Here is my next challenge.. As you know I am photographing in Manual.

When I push the button 1/2 way it should lock the focus, but as soon as I move my camera, the lens refocuses... Is there a setting I may have changed to cause this?? How can I fix this problem??

Thanks so much!!

Shutter Speed on *istD L2

Wow, you once you understand the science it all makes sense. OK, so my other question is this... Once I was resolved to this speed, I picked a different location to shoot from. Now the flash is not adding any light??? And when I slow the shutter speed down it is making minimal difference. New shot is closer than old, and on a Christmas tree. ,, I know this because the histograms are not changing or moving right?? How do I deal with this situation???

Thanks.. That last answer was REALLY helpful!!!

Hi, does anyone know if the shutter speed becomes automatic with the flash on manual on this camera..

When the flash is up I cannot get the shutter speed any faster than 1/180?? Also if I try to slow the shutter speed down, nothing happens??

Thanks

Hi, I own this camera. I have a problem. Appears on manual sometimes I cannot get the shutter speed any higher than 1/180?? Also, it appears regardless of what shutter speed I pick, if the flash is up the camera picks its own shutter speed??

For example I shot a picture at f4.0, SS 1/125.. Seemed under exposed to me (via histograms). So I increased the shutter speed to 1/60... There was no change to the histograms AT ALL.. Also the shutter speed did not change either??

Is my camera broken??

Thanks

I only own the kit lens. :( Hubby will not let me buy a new lens, says that I am better off getting a new camera with a better lens and capabilities than wasting my money on a new lens that will cost just as much. Does Pentax have any good F1.8 to F2.8 lens that are not over $500?? It appears on my learning sites that Nikon and Canon both have good lens like this for around $100.

Thanks.
