Thanks everyone for all the great replies!!
I had also been looking at the 55 da but was wondering about the slow/poor auto focus reviews. I guess for portraits it would not be to much of an issue. The 100 wr auto focus can be a pain at times, I love the lens but understand some of the reviews now.
Thanks!! ---------- Post added 01-20-15 at 11:59 AM ---------- Well I thought the 100 would work fine except for possibly be to long at times. And also was curious about the speed of the 1.4 or 1.8 and the difference from 2.8 in both bokeh and subject separation from the background. ---------- Post added 01-20-15 at 12:01 PM ---------- Thanks so much everyone!!

Hello All,
Quick question for those taking outdoor on location portraits. I have the 40mm limited and the 100mm macro WR. I really like both. However, I will be taking more portraits at different locations and was wondering if I needed:
1. the more classic portrait focal length of the 50 (75 apsc) ?
2. is the bokeh that much better at 1.4 or 1.8 (or stopped down a little), than the 2.8 of the 40 and 100?
Thank You!

Everyone, thank you so much for your responses!!
I have recently purchased a domain name, so I could market myself locally.
One of the main things I want to achieve is to be able to have client galleries that they can log into and look and order from.
I also wanted to be able to sell and be able to print my own pictures for my own local sales and framing.
It looks like zenfolio and smugmug both have these. The cost of both of these doesn't seem to bad.
I'll look further into both of these. Any other suggestions?
Thank You!!!!

Does anyone have any advice on starting a website? My situation is I'm trying to start a local photography business and am looking into using photocrati or fotomerchant. Has anyone used either of these? or have any better advice?
I'm definitely a non-techie. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I noticed that as well a while back with the 100-300/4. I guess I may get a second camera and a lens instead of just a lens? It's funny, initially I came to pentax because of the value associated with it prior to all the lens price hikes. Then I became scared of the sdm issues I read about so I bought mainly older manual lenses. Anyway, thanks for everyones responses.

Hello Adam,
I meant to say a d7000 and the lens in Nikon mount for maybe 1100-1300. The sigma 180mm 3.5 macro is considerably less expensive in the Nikon or canon mount.
Thanks

I really want a sigma 180 macro k mount that was recently offered for sale for around 1050. I start looking around and found that I could almost get a backup D7000 and the lens for around 1100-1300. I guess that's really good right? :) looking into my first backup system. What do you think? Thanks! TLS
