I, too, bought this lens there like ChopperCharles, they still 14 left at this moment. Great deal!
Just got it today and right out of the box, I think the build quality is OK for a plastic lens, I am not crazy about the silver color. After a few test shoots, I was so surprised by the picture quality, sharp for a long focal lens especially at f8, good color. Even at 100% crop, the picture still looks decent. Auto focus is surprisingly fast, and it handles really well.
At this price, I have no complaints at all.
I have been looking for a long focal everyday lens for a while, I am so glad I found this lens at a great price. I will recommend this lens to people who wants a decent budget long focal lens.

Just found a Tokina 70-210mm f4-5.6 in excellent condition, I have heard good things about this lens, but I am not sure it will work well on my K5.
Does anybody have first hand experience for it? And what is the market value for it now?

The 60-250 is too much over my budget for now, I am considering either sigma 70-200 or tamron 70-200, i think they both decent zooms, for prime a 50/1.4 is probably what I will go for.

Thanks guys for your comments.

I am new to Pentax.
I used to shoot Olympus, very nice cameras and lenses, but the small sensor has its limits. So after lot of researches I decided to switch to Pentax.
I just got my K5 loved it, the kit 18-55mm WR lens amazes me in a lot of situations when I shoot landscapes, but sometimes it is just not long and fast enough to capture my 5 year old daughter's wonderful moments.
Any suggestions for a decent lens to cover that purpose? Thank you!

Thanks for your comments. I was shocked with the IQ of pictures I took using the 18-55mm WR kit lens. So maybe I can just go for the 50-200mm WR lens and save the money for some nice prime lenses. :)

I still don't know why people always compare K5 with D7000 and 60D, just because they are at the price range?
K5 should be compared with D300s and 7D, don't you think?

Just got my new K-5 and so excited. Still trying to decide which lens to match this great camera. I am thinking about getting a Pentax DA 17-70mm and a sigma 70-200mm. Any advises and suggestions?
