The price hikes for april have been confirmed by a large german online retailer and sponsor of a local forum.
Remaining lower prices just seem to be stock that has been build before the official price reposition.

Might be silly bit it could also be more of a video kind lens. A lens more in the area of typical camcorders, less wide angle and more reach. Not that I would like that...

I would not say this is a defect. I got this with all my digital cameras more or less.
But to provocate this you have to exposure really long.
With my Nikon CP8800 ist started at about 2 minutes and with my K10D I'm beginning to see this at abaut 5-8min I would guess.
But in my cases I never went above 100iso for this kind of images so the effect is rather small and just in the upper left part of the image.

These purple areas seem to be reflections coulered because of the coating not noise like in the TO's pictures.

That noise is called amplifier-noise...
It comes from the amplifier sitting next to the sensor. I got that quite strong on my Nikon CP8800 but on the K10d it is much less of a problem.
I just saw this yesterday after a 1300 seconds exposure at iso 100.
If you increase iso the purple noise will also increase.

Tekade is a very reputable shop and the owner Mr. Schuster is active in some german forums.
Mr. Schuster and a couple of customers are going to visit Pentax Hamburg in the end of may to be one of the first to get their hands on the new camera.
He also stated that the embargo date ends between 20th of may and end of may.
The estimated price on the shop site should be seen as an upper border where to find the price.
The sensor is said to be the same K20d sensor but as a reworked version. So ist should stay at 14.6mp and APS-C...
Not that sure about this but the AF is said to use the same architecture with reworked parts (still 11 points?!). Some hints of this were seen in the K2000 but I think the new camera's AF will be much more advanced.
