Hi Cyruss777, that looks like a really nice black-bodied Spotmatic - it is in such good condition! I always wanted a black one - I ended up with 3 with silver top and bottom covers.
The 50mm. f1.4 looks in very nice condition too; I still have a couple and I use them a lot on my K-1 digital. You will get a lot of fun out of that camera - look after it!!

This shot was taken with a Pentax *ist DS using a Sigma 12-24mm. zoom at a 30mm. equivalent for the smaller chip. 1,000sec & F8.
The sand flats occupy part of an area the Five Rivers travel through on their way to the Cambridge Gulf, where the Ord, Forest, King, Durack and Pentecost rivers combine. The flats are usually void of water over the dry season and the surface becomes covered in cracks.
When you go out onto the flats there is an amazing sense of space, and as there is no sound, nothing moving, time seems to stop. This old telegraph pole is a stark reminder of the difficulties of communication is this very remote area where the elements control daily life, not only in the days of early settlement but also today.
The pole in the foreground, with its curved, vertical shape, is in contract with the level expanses of the flats. It tells a tale of days gone by when some remote community, perhaps a mine, mission, or some kind of community were connected by telegraph. Wherever the line went to, travel though the area in the wet season was probably impossible. Nature rules here - the water will return.

This is a great shot, kiwi-jono. Please forgive me if I say that it would have been great to clean up the distraction of the small light blemishes here and there in the sky - that's if you have the software to do so.
I nominate this shot!

Gian, this is a subject close to my heart, or should I say camera eye (sorry!) as I have astigmatism. The solution to get hold of a suitable eyecup that fits your particular Pentax model and then have an optometrist/optician/spectacle lens company cut out the correct sized piece from, say, the right hand lens of a old pair of spectacles (whichever eye you use for the photography) Set the eyepiece diopter on the Pentax to zero, add the eyepiece and look through the eyepiece without any glasses on. What to do with your glasses whilst you look through the camera? - I tend to grip one end of the bit that goes to the ear in my teeth! I hope this helps. I think that Pid had the right idea - check out his links. All the best! ---------- Post added 10-26-22 at 09:00 PM ----------
Hi Pid, you are certainly on the right track, but can I just say that this one that you mention - Gebrauchte ASAHI PENTAX Augenmuschel Typ: für die analoge PENTAX Spotmatic | eBay -= will probably not work on some of the Pentax digital SLRs - this website specifies they are for Spotmatics, which I have, but the eyepieces I use for those do not fit the later Pentax DSLRs - not quite big enough to clip on. For my K-01 DSLR I managed to get hold of a couple of these (two because I have an astigmatism, one for portrait and one for landscape orientation) - PENTAX eyecup MII 30087. They were the right size for my K-01 and as they are designed for circular lenses it is easier and cheaper to have a lens cut for them.

Hi Pen Pusher, I often go out with just one fixed focal length lens - that way you just have to make it work where you can. Some famous female photographer (sorry I can't remember her name) was once asked how do you take a good photograph - her answer was "f8 and be there".
A friend who is a good photographer prefers a 35mm. lens. Another photographer I once heard quoted and who did some of the famous magazines back in the day maintained that you should be able to be dropped off anywhere by a helicopter with a (35mm.) camera & 50mm. lens and come back with a story. I think there is good value in all of the comments you have received before mine. All the best. ---------- Post added 10-19-22 at 05:15 PM ----------
Sorry, just one other thing, if you are thinking of spending time composing one or two good shots, and if your eyesight is not what it used to be as you say, then perhaps autofocus is not best for you because you still have to choose a particular part of your composition to be your main point of focus. If you wear glasses and are having problems seeing properly through the eyepiece, have you thought of having a lens made for your eyepiece? I have an astigmatism and so had two circles cut out of an old pair of glasses to fit an eyepiece attachment - one for portrait and one for landscape. In earlier times, for an oblong viewer, I made up a cardboard blank the same shape as the eyepiece attachment and the optician used that as a pattern for the correct shape. All the best.
