All taken with K-5 + Pentax SMC-DA* 50-135mm, and a few with the Pentax SMC DA 10-17mm fisheye

What remote to get

I was also contemplating which one to get. In the past, I've been using wired remotes with no issues - except for when the weather wasn't shiny and dry :-)
For my K-5, after a while thinking, I went with the O-RC1 - costs a few bucks more, but is weather resistant, so I can count on it when escaping the boring indoors to the raging weather outside.
I've heard that the non-WR remote control "F" can also handle a few drops, but I've had some experience with taking non-WR equipment to dusty/wet enviroment and for me it just wasn't worth the stress and in the end the money too - eventually, if the thing should break...just my 2cents

Its rather strange.... The girl in the pic is an old friend. I had not seen or heard from her for about two years. No sooner as I posted this pic she got in touch with me.
Twighlight zone lol

It does remember, you can see the last (sum) value over the correction bar in the debug menu. Just tinkered with the debug mode today... :)

K-5 with Metz AF-50 here, both on last version of firmware. No probs at all, 3 months of usage so far. Faulty HW perhaps? Or connectors?

Glen - yes, it is off centre, as stated in the threads I took this info off - it depends on the sample you have. Sources here and here(post #15 in particular)

Notice how it appears off centre. Quite likely most Pentax DSLRs are, but the actual placement is different for every sample. The AF sensor of my DS shifts upward, but the K-m downward. What I have found is that the actual spot meter placement is based on the AF sensor as well, not the focus screen. That means if the AF sensor of your camera shifts upward, so will the spot meter. This might not be obvious until you tried to pin point the exposure using the centre bracket and cannot make sense of the reading (because the spot meter is reading something else). This is where and how much my DS spot meter covered.

even though the K-5 user guide states itself that the center focus point is the circle - see image, I'd rather say it is a cross inside the circle, like in my post you're quoting.

I think it's terrific that every single firmware upgrade for the K-5 improves the autofocus. Now, it can focus before you even aim it!

Seriously though, I hope it does. The only two complaints I have about my K-5 are low-light near-focus and consistently bad bounce flash overexposure.

I'll try it tonight, and I'll test both problem scenarios. Fingers crossed!

Well I updated to the new firmware version and my K-5 autofocuses even when off. I mean, it focuses accurately and all, but even when the camera is off. Seriously.

But really(REALLY) seriously now, didn't notice any significant improvements in regards of speed and or AF accuracy. Maybe it's because my K-5 meets my expectations, and is quick and accurate

this is what I got from your message via google translator:

hello
I have my stupid lord battery wrong I stopped the cameras
does anyone know how I get him out
b.v.d

...I suppose it means your battery is stuck in your camera.
first of all - If you are able to post on an international forum which is coded in english, why post in your native language?
second - now to your problem - what's your camera, where the battery got stuck?
