A Look at Kodak Home Processing Kits circa 1940s

Hey this is amazing! I have one of these kits ( the one in the second video) that belonged to my father. He likely received it as a gift when he was young, it now resides in my attic, in its original box, with the original chemical pouches either unopened or barely used. The only thing missing is the glass stirring rod, which broke many years ago when I dropped it. Otherwise perfectly intact! I always thought it was super cool: a darkroom in a box! If I dig it out I'll post photos.

I too hope for a DFA* 35 f 1:1.4...

But has anyone else noticed that the 560 has also disappeared off the current map?

Very interesting! I live in Toronto, and a couple of years ago there was one of these lenses in the used display case at Downtown Camera. It was $350 CAD if I recall and in pristine looking condition. It was there for over a year and I had been keeping my eye on it, but was waiting until I had some cash saved up for the K1. Alas, the day I went to that same store to pick up the K1 body, it was gone...
So along with the K1, I picked up a new MIJ 43 Limited instead!
Still, why do I feel like it's the same lens? Glad it ended up with another Pentaxian!
